  1. Monster Hunter Rise soundtrack showcase Part 3/4: The Chase
  2. I've been listening to some Touhou 18 remixes from Chocolate Fantasy recently, a Eurobeat circle who are new to me. I was going to share their song MINING & EATING, but I've also been catching up on the posts in this thread from when Unconnected Marketeers released and found that Ken has already shared it, so instead I'm gonna share this Kitten of Great Fortune remix from them that's become my latest addiction. I imagine we're going to start seeing a lot more touhou 18 arranges when Autumn Reitaisai comes, as that's the next big event where doujin circles will be selling new releases. Looking forward to hopefully hearing some Eurobeat of Ore from the Age of the Gods.
  3. Monster Hunter Rise soundtrack showcase Part 2/4: Monster Hunting
  4. Nice stuff. Although, it appears you've pasted in everything twice lol, you may want to fix that. By the way, I did some researching for you and found that the MHGen Arena theme is called "Draped in Valor". And regarding the difference between MHGen and MHGU, the latter is basically considered an expansion to the base game. You could make the distinction to point out which songs came from the base game and which one game from Generations Ultimate, but I don't think anyone will really mind it, seeing as you bundled in the Monster Hunter World: Iceborne themes under Monster Hunter World anyway. You've also used some of the Japanese names for the monsters in some titles, but again I don't think it matters much.
  5. I'm back from my hiatus! Time for something that is long overdue. Yup, It's time for that Monster Hunter Rise OST showcase. I'm going to be going over this in a few different parts highlighting some of the different kinds of tracks used in the game, but to start with I'm going back to my first experience of the game with the demo, using some of the songs that were in it to give a taste of the soundtrack as a whole. Part 1/4: Introduction
  6. You absolute legends. Thank you guys. Hopefully I won't be needing to ask about any other videos like this in the future, but it could happen.
  7. @Ken Hisuag The last song from this post is now deleted, and despite my sleuthing around, I haven't been able to deduce what it was. Can you remember? If anyone remembers / has a way to know what it was, I'd be grateful.
  8. Heya, I feel I haven't really been that active recently. That's mostly because busy-ness. But anyway, I'm still around and stuff, even if I'm not posting much right now. Here, have a music.
  9. I'm not playing it yet; I'm waiting until the english patch is done. And I'm kinda busy right now anyway lol.
  10. Do any of you remember that German vocal I found last year? Well I got a new discovery for y'all:
  11. Monster Hunter Rise is out now, and I have been enjoying not only the game, but the music a lot. The soundtrack for it has so far exceeded my expectations, which were already fairly high. So, I'm thinking I might like to do one of those OST showcase things similar to what Ken Hisuag sometimes does. I'm not doing it right now, I haven't decided how I'm going to structure it yet and I still need more time to play through the game anyway. But I have a feeling I'm going to need more than one post to do the music justice, which is why I'm making it known that it's possible I could do something like this in the future. Or I might just end up doing a regular post on it in the end. But still. Also, I've just seen Ken's post on December 31st about archiving previous songs posted here, which reminded me that the Monster Hunter 4 Main Theme (Setting off Wind) link was broken in one of my posts. So since Ken said he'd like to update the list if any broken links are updated, I'm going back to that post and replacing the link now. In the meantime, I'm gonna share the ABSOLUTE BANGER that is Khezu's theme!
  12. So that's why Yuyuko is a glutton.
  13. I never played Scarlet Curiosity because I wasn't interested in the game's premise and definitely not because I don't play many fan games in general, but wow, that is some good music. The Broken Moon one actually made me laugh a bit the first time it transitioned to Septette. It had me thinking something like: Remilia: This is mine now. What's the original for the second song though? The closest thing I could link it to was Mystic Oriental Love Consultation, but I really can't tell. Also, I'm very happy you posted Onigashima in the Fairyland, because I almost NEVER hear arrangements of that song, and I really like the original. As great as Broken Moon is, I've always thought more of Onigashima in the Fairyland ~ Missing Power as Suika's theme. However whenever I click on a remix with Suika in the thumbnail - always Broken Moon or Oriental Memory. Since I'm on the topic of fan games, linking back to that post Garison made with Suika's theme in the Komajou Densetsu OST, that's a fan game I have played - both the first and second one. Although they aren't actually Touhou arrangements, they have some great music in their soundtracks too.
  14. I will continue the swika chain
  15. I'm not someone who normally watches anime, but I recently got into a show because of its soundtrack actually. Those familiar with my musical tastes shouldn't be surprised with what's in the spoiler tab.
  16. not sure about how to introduce it but imo best games to start with are 6, 8, or 16.
  17. @Ken Hisuag This... is not the first time you've posted music from ssbbmaster... correct? I'm sure I've come across them before, yet I don't remember ever exploring their channel, so I can only think that it must have been because you posted their music here before. Anyway, what's my point? Thank you for posting this one. Not only is that arrangement amazing, but through the intrigue of the recommended videos that appear at the end, I have now ventured into the rabbit hole and started exploring their videos (I hadn't even realised that they made the arrangements themself!), and found not only some of my new favourite orchestral arrangements, but even some really good non-orchestral stuff. You wouldn't expect it from such a small channel. Will be following this arranger from now on.
  18. Talking about GET IN THE RING now, huh? Yeah, they're a good circle. Although Ken mentioned he was fond of their fun rock arrangements, I was actually more familiar with their more serious and h e a v y stuff, so it's cool to see to that more fun side which is also really good. Anyway, here's some stuff I know from them.
  19. I have made a discovery.
  20. While we're on the topic of the Rivals OST, I thought I'd mention how I appreciate the extensions that some of the older tracks got when the game went into definitive edition. Fight and Flight is still my favourite track, but The Earthen Division wins my award for most improved track.
  21. The last time I posted about DJtheS was, well, pretty much at the inception of this thread. Given that he isn't a discovery for me, its not like I feel any need to post his stuff. However, I wanted to share this medley anyway, since it's a perfect fit for the season. Merry Christmas, guys!
  22. There are a lot of original themes from ULiL/AoCF that I really like, and I'm also a fan of IaMP's soundtrack in general (it's a shame NKZ only did music for IaMP and none of the follow-up games), so I agree it's unfortunate no one really seems to arrange those. I had a bit of a look, and while I couldn't find arrangements of the themes you specifically asked, I did find two arrangements of Bamboo Forest in Flames (one instrumental and one vocal), which is probably my favourite of the original themes from ULiL. A bonus of any video about a Mokou-related theme is that you get to see cool pictures of Mokou. Now, here's an unrelated additional discovery. It coincidentally also happens to be another DnB remix.
  23. Literally all I did was say I liked Patchouli once and now Garison has elevated it to meme status. Like, come on guys, I like other characters as well and she's not even my favourite...
  24. I meant DnB as the one we don't see too often. I didn't really have metal in mind when I suggested rock, but you make a point that it often shares similarities with other genres, to the point where it becomes hard to distinguish where it stops being rock and starts being something else. Still, I'd say YaboiMatoi's and RichaadEB's covers are definitely metal (I did like them though). That Bad Apple remix on the other hand was more what I had in mind, and I hadn't found a Bad Apple cover with a good male vocal before, so I'm glad you shared it! On the topic of what makes the difference between rock and metal, I'd say the main distinction is in the percussion. I don't listen to that much of it myself, but I happen to know this one, so it might be worth looking into the circle that made this? Faith is for the Transient People isn't that annoying to type out. The song I shared earlier was a remix of The Primal Scene of Japan the Girl Saw. Doesn't help it's been retranslated several times already.
