I watch a lot of video essays, particularly related to game design, but this one here stands out as a spectacular video I think everyone should watch.

I get a certain satisfaction from seeing the two main protagonists at the top, like all is well in the world again. But maybe that just shows that I'm basic Regarding rankings, its worth noting that the release of a new game has bumped up the total range of possible positions. So for characters who don't typically rank in the top spots, it's much harder for them to maintain their position or rank up when new additions are pushing them down (take the case of Raiko as an example, it's not necessarily that 11 characters have overtaken her, but more like 6 characters have overtaken her and 5 new characters have just appeared increased the amount of competition (this also effects vote distribution, since each participant can only nominate a limited number of characters) So with all that being considered, Kosuzu still being able to go up 4 places from a relatively low position is a POWER MOVE

Heh, I remember you mentioning a while back you were dipping your toes into GU, and I've been meaning to ask: how are things going with that? Limited time for gaming has meant limited time for talking about any soundtracks, but I'm planning at last to do a small feature on Sunbreak sometime soon. Actually, at this point there's nothing stopping from doing some kind of feature on it now, but I think for the moment I'd like to wait for an official release of the tracks in the later updates, which will probably happen sometime after the final update releases. Whether or not I even feature any of those tracks is undecided, but I'd like to at least have the full collection available to me before I start anything, seeing as it's probably not far off now. Also, surprised to hear you say that the new tracks in Generations Ultimate didn't leave much of an impression on you. The expansion didn't add much music, but Silver Winged Star (Valfalk/Valstrax) is usually pretty popular. And as always, if you ever need help tracking down the origin for something, feel free to ask me, as my knowledge is generally broad enough to pinpoint where stuff debuted.

This is the second to last round, actually. You're right, I should engage the summoning. I've had my eyes away from this for a bit due to studies. Breathes in @Tenkko @Drunken_Flower @sodaodaoda I shall wrangle soda and DF through discord, just kinda gotta hope that Tenkko reappears. He usually shows up eventually.

Today Yesterday I learned that that calm bit that plays in orchestral versions of Proof of a Hero originates as its own track from the first Monster Hunter, and the original is gorgeous...

My favourite official game is either EoSD or IN; in terms of pure gameplay I think EoSD has excellent danmaku patterns and this very raw fun-ness about it, no gimmicks about it. But IN is no slouch in simply being a fun game either, and when you also consider things like its characters and the brilliant last word system, I think it's a truly iconic game. As for fangames, I actually don't play very many of them... but, Komajou Densetsu (and its sequel) left a great impression on me, and the edgy Castlevania-esque redesigns of the characters are also really cool, so that one's my favourite.

Well, although I wouldn't introduce them "OCs", I do have an extensive folder of fantasy characters for roleplaying as in Dungeons & Dragons - some more developed than others. There's only one of them I'm currently playing as, which consequently makes them the character that is most developed and I am most attached to. I'm not really sure if I want to share here, though. On another similar note I also come up with character ideas to populate games I design, but they're not much developed beyond concepts.

No, in fact I'd say that I'm quite staunchly against it.

My own If I had to pick just one... well, I can't remember the name exactly, but there was this one thread called "unexpected Touhou" or something like that which was filled with strange instances of the Touhou franchise appearing (like with Touhou hijacks) or with other cases of Touhou being applied to something extremely highly specific. The thing is, this thread was created a user called GarrisonDeCrick, who deleted their account, and all of his content was cast into the abyss along with it. A big shame, he had a strong and humorous personality, and made a number of interesting or entertaining threads. There are probably more threads by him that could contend as an answer for this question that I'm unable to recall. And before you ask; no one knows why he left, or why he erased all other traces of his presence across the internet. Trust me, I went looking. I just hope that whatever the reason was, he's doing alright... ...welp, that might have gone a little darker than intended, and it's only the first question. *sigh* CVN, you're ever one to ask the easy questions, aren't you?

Have AMA's recently become some kind of silly trend on this forum? Yes, yes they have. But whatever, it gives me something to discuss about, and having been here a long time I'd like to think I'm an interesting enough person for people to have questions about me. So, if there's anything you want to know about me, this is your opportunity to say it! It doesn't have to relate to Touhou in any way, you can ask me literally any question you want - although I am not obliged to answer, so I recommend keeping things tasteful if you actually want to be taken seriously. Other than that there's nothing else to say about restrictions, so ask away!

I have some news to deliver. @Shionne Imeris has informed they need to drop out of the tournament. I'm... not really sure what to do about this, we've never had a situation like this before. I will be keeping their music submissions within the tourney, though. Speaking of which, we've made it to round 5! I've accidentally used a quote box instead of a spoiler box, but oh well.
