Piracy generally stems from 2 things: the price and the accessibility of the pirated product. In this case you ran into the latter reason because had they provided you with a good service that got you to the game you were clearly willing to purchase you would have. Of course, you must keep in mind that I am a European (is it now a European or an European?), and I encourage you to come to your own conclusion. A good rule of thumb to know whether people in general would consider pirating a product, whether that be a game, a book or a music disc, is the service. If Nintendo put their legacy games on a modern console and/or let people who own the legacy systems buy the legacy games, chances are people would buy those games instead of pirate them illegally. The price is also a factor, but that is because games are a very cheap type of luxury for the middle class most of the time... So when that class can't afford the game, like in Brazil where games on average cost a quarter of their minimum wage, of course they're going to pirate it because people are not going to pay that much for a small luxury. A combination of the two reasons would be people pirating movies. Netflix mostly stopped people from doing that because it was a relatively cheap platform that had a very large catalogue of basically every single movie under the sun. Then the streaming boom happened and those movies were now scattered around places, with each area being locked behind a monthly subscription paywall which, as you've likely already guessed, caused people to pirate movies again. You then also have the case of companies no longer providing support for the older games and making anyone that just wants to play those games pay for another game that has the older game in it in order to maximize profits; which in my opinion is companies overstepping their bounds and should be pirated, not bought, in order to send a message to whatever greed-infected being thought that was a good idea. Those are the good ways piracy is used, there is also a gigantic amount of rotten apples who just want free games without the hassle of actually working in order to buy them, but it is safe to assume that none of us belong to that group. I personally find that the work that has to be done in order to buy a work to be a part of the satisfaction of the work. I also pirate games if I'm unsure of whether or not the price they charge is worth the value I get out of it, with whether or not I buy it being dependent on my own judgment (largely favouring the company). But those are the reasons that I base the ethics of piracy on.

I see a few options as to where the Nekomata would live: 1. The one where the Nekomata lives somewhere where no one dares to come, like Mayohiga. Here I would live a life of solitude that is nigh impenetrable and likely only broken by the occasional visit of Miko or Kasen, the former trying to teach me the way of the Tao as I am a hermit and the latter helping me be a hermit. This me would likely by a stage 3 boss, driving the incident resolvers away from my home with danmaku so that I can live a peaceful life. 2. The bamboo forest of the lost, as that place has the highest concentration of immortals (or is tied with Miko's realm for that title) and the Nekomata wants social contact aside from my food and the other hermits. Here I am likely to align myself with nobody as everyone earns my vengeance equally, but I would be a stage 1 or 2 boss as I would be more so playing around with any unfortunate incident resolution specialists than actually trying. 3. Chireiden/former Hell, Where the Nekomata is employed by Satori, Yukari and perhaps even the Yama (or they were my former employer as Zanmu moved Hell to where it is now, more on that later.) to keep the vengeful spirits under control using my ability which is likely some variant of "manipulation of vengeance". Here I'd be aligned with Chireiden and Former Hell on principal and a stage 5 boss with some probably very annoying vengeful spirits coloring my usual spellcards. If not that, then the extra stage boss as Satori or Yukari sends the incident resolvers to bring me a message, but I would have to drive them away from the vengeful spirit pit, thus causing a battle. 4. Actual Hell, Zanmu moved Hell and I came with the Yama who employed me. I'd likely have a lot of sway over policies regarding vengeful spirits and their best commander when everything starts falling apart. Here I have no clue who my friends would be but I'd likely be aligned with the Yama and/or Zanmu. As we're in Hell, I am a stage 4 boss in this incarnation. Appearing as a mid-boss in the extra stage. Some of my spellcards are described in Original Spellcards Anonymous, but all follow the general theme of "Righteous retribution". I would summon ghosts that shoot revenge bullets for most of the other spellcards, and perhaps even combine the gimmicks in some spellcards. I would definitely be an annoying foe, that's for sure.

Allow me to tell you why I feel a spiritual connection with Nekomata, then. Starting with the fact that no two sources agree whether or not they should be conflated with the Bakeneko or not, which would be a Youkai equivalent of an identity crisis. Personally, I subscribe to the game "Muramasa: the demon blade"'s depiction of Nekomata: vengeful cats that drank their owner's blood. It's that way Mina Katt came into existence, by the way. Relating to me, I own two cats and am vengeful myself. You will get my retribution if I think you have wronged me. That is also why I try to not make up my opinion about something without all the information I can gather in a reasonable amount of time. How would I turn into one? Through becoming a cat by virtue of the cycle of reincarnation or just straight up forcing it with some future technology and drinking my owner's blood who died bleeding. As for me, the Nekomata living in Gensokyo, I would be an absolute outcast because of the whole "vengeful" part of being a Nekomata which would drive Youkai who do not have a death wish away from me, Humans are also a no-go because I am a Youkai that eats humans among other things and I can't even be near vengeful spirits as they could actually kill me. My choices for friends would thus be suicidal Youkai, suicidal humans or Magicians, who may or may not be suicidal and also Youkai. Yeah, it'd be a pretty lonely life of solitude and imposed hermitism. I'd be a great person if people would look past the outer shell of me, but in a place built on prejudice like Gensokyo, I don't think that is going to happen soon. Potential candidates for friendship: Kaguya (actually immortal), Eirin (actually immortal), Mokou (actually immortal), Orin (cat youkai), Satori (depression specialist) and Chen (cat youkai).

Nonsensical humour, eh? Well, the more people active in these forums the better. Considering this has become quite the welcoming party, care to share some Koakuma wisdom with us? Perhaps some tea for at the very least me as all that flying and waiting around in the Former Hell of Blazing Fires has left me a bit thirsty~

So, as this incarnation of Nyoko Hakui is a previous version dragged back from the past into the present who Hikiko incorporated in their story, any dissonance you find between the version you see here and my OC's in OCA is explained with the character evolution that happened between then and now. With the forewarning given, let's begin. Nyoko Hakui is a Nekomata with the ability to manipulate vengeance, thus all cards are related to the clause. Spellcard 1: "Grudge: -New Enemy-" Her first spell. She throws kunai in a circle as she forms a ball that follows you until the end of the spell. That's it. meaning: The ball symbolizes a vengeful person and you the person who needs to be vindicated. Difficulty: Easy (spell is named Grudge: -new opponent-): The kunai amount is less than normal and the ball lazily strolls to your position. Normal: The kunai amount is average and the ball runs to your position. Hard: The kunai amount is the same as normal but the ball fires a bullet at you once every 10 seconds and goes at a speed between easy and normal. Lunatic (Spell is named Vendetta: -New Nemesis-): The kunai amount doubles compared to normal and the ball fires four bullets at, away and to the sides of you once every 8 seconds, going at a speed comparable to normal. Spellcard 2: "Enmity: -Discord-" Her second spell. She shoots tiny red bullets in a fan shape in front of her that get bigger the more you shoot through them. meaning: As you show your enmity to her, she will respond in kind. Difficulty: Easy: Danmaku density is lower and the bullets grow slower than in Normal. Normal: Danmaku density is average and the bullets grow in at a normal pace. Hard (Spell is named Hostility: -Strife-): Danmaku density is slightly higher and the growing pace is 1 and a half times faster than normal. Lunatic (Spell is named Animosity: -Schism-): Danmaku density is high and the growing pace of the bullets is twice Hard. Spellcard 3: "Vindicator" Her last spell is a survival one. One must survive for 90 seconds as she throws red bullets that don't bounce and kunai that bounce twice from the high center of the screen. Meaning: She is one. Difficulty: Easy: Danmaku density is average, kunai bounce once. Normal: Danmaku density is average, kunai bounce twice. Hard: Danmaku density is higher, kunai bounce three times. Lunatic: Danmaku density is average, Kunai may only exit from the top of the field and bounce a minimum of four times.

Sorry Hikiko Hime, but there is official material that shoots holes through your theory. But first, the reason why the Hakurei shrine is a rundown place is because Reimu is trying to fix it up. Her ability to float has allowed her to walk across a river unknowingly without getting her socks wet because the fish jumped to allow her to walk across as the three fairies noticed when they tried to trick her into getting her socks wet. To add to that, Kasen Ibaraki made sure Reimu knew she was fighting someone because she bet on the opponent and knew Reimu would likely lose if she did that. Thus it can be assumed that the more Reimu tries to do something the worse that something gets done. The shrine is also in a perpetual state of poverty (Sounds like a game title: Touhou Kanraiden ~ Perpetual State of Poverty) because Reimu does her best effort to not be poor. There are frequent (enough) events at the Hakurei shrine that it would be weird if the "overly curious" as you put didn't get into at least one gathering at the Hakurei shrine. From the annual Spring flower-viewing held at the shrine to the parties to the one time Kasen presented her right arm as a museum piece in the shrine itself; I would actively disbelieve any attempts made to say that the Hakurei shrine is not a social gathering place for Gensokyo. Especially because Immaterial and Missing Power's incident revolves around there being too many parties at the Hakurei shrine. Yukari is also not the only one who can freely travel between Gensokyo and the outside world, Kasen Ibaraki can too. Yukari even laments on Kasen not taking what are essentially sterilization protocols causing western dandelions to invade Gensokyo, overthrowing the Japanese dandelion. Okina can too, but likely because of doors on the back of humans in the outside world rather than any backdoor boundary shenanigans (pun intended) and likely sterilizes like Yukari in her land of the back door. Reimu is also a lot more powerful than she lets on, as her last word of Imperishable Night, Fantasy Heaven, is stated by Marisa to both be something she can keep up for until the enemy is defeated and that she can do that technique whenever she wants. Something she can also do in Scarlet Weather Rhapsody and Hisoutensoku. So it would be a stretch to say she can't deal with any potential unshackling of the true power of the Hakurei shrine's Kami. Though I do agree with the thesis that Gensokyo is the Kami of the Hakurei shrine as I see no issues it poses or can pose to already established canon that I happen to know of. For as far as I'm aware too, the Hakurei shrine does not have a special building to keep the holy object safe, suggesting that the object in question is either an ethereal thing or too large to steal; both of which fit Gensokyo to a T.

That's also a reason why I did a general recap of what already happened. As a way to get new people up to speed so they won't have pages worth of content to read in order to know what the hell is going on. When people know what they're getting into they're infinitely more likely to enter... in my experience. But I've attached myself to this RP, so I'll likely be silently praying to the gracious gods above and below that we may continue. If not, well, let us just let this place rest in its coffin, shall we?

Alright, both as a reminder and so I stop stressing over exactly how confusing my latest post in the IC is, allow me to query if I can change said post because I swear to the heavens above I was high on mushrooms or something of that ilk when I wrote that. Yumetou, if you've already written your answer to the post, please just refuse this request. you tried to comprehend my madness, or alternatively tried to explain it in a much more organized manner and I'd like to see that. If not, then I am going to organize the events I want Mina to go through in a hopefully much less insane way. You've also missed this mark with a couple of months... So has anything changed for the better or has everything changed for the worse? Or was it my lunacy that drove you to despair? Either way, we've taken a break from this roleplay, so I'm going to recap what I can garner from reading the OoC and IC both for potential newcomers and old actors alike. Except for what caused this Gensokyo to be, that is the first post of this OoC and will inevitably be more organized than this post. Please do note that this is only a general history of what has already transpired, and certain things that I have deemed unimportant will be omitted. Keiki Haniyasushin Rika Senji "God's Wind" Yamamoto Mina katt I hope this we can start these games again soon.

Ever had an idea for a spell card for an official/fan/own character yet lack the tools and/or experience to make it a reality? Then this post is for you. As a type of sister post to Original Characters Anonymous, but purely for spellcards. It's fine with me if you created a spellcard for Daiyousei and described how it went or created a spellcard for your Mary Sue-type OC and described it here. All are welcome to create any spellcard here. And hey, maybe your idea might be breathed into life by someone who does if you post here. Ground Rules As would be expected of a spellcard, it must follow the spellcard rules. I'll list them here so you don't have to go far when checking if it follows the rules. 1. Give a name and a meaning to the elegance of the duel. 2.Meaning is equivalent to power. Those are the two rules that apply to any spellcard here. Additional Rules As there are some unspoken rules and general rules due to the limitations of writing, I'm going to outline them here. 1. The spellcard must draw from your character's ability/abilities. 2. A description of the meaning of the attack is necessary. 3. A general outline of the attack in question. Bonus Points Giving your spellcard variations depending on the difficulty. For the rest you're free to let your imagination go wild. Now go forth and create that spellcard you've always been dreaming of!

Are We Slowly Succumbing To Easy Content Brainrot? (Totally Legit Topic)
Nyoko replied to Reitisen's topic in Misty Lake
Well then, the fact that the school system makes the new generation dislike books by forcing them to read books with a time limit, thus disallowing a full meditation on the subjects discussed, would not help the fight against brain-rot. I personally know of myself that whatever is popular in my home country is extremely likely to be something I hate with every single fibre of my being. With very few exceptions. The fact that it has a time limit is especially damaging to my own style of meditation on any given subject, as I like to reach my full conclusion on it before reading further. I also cross-reference the newfound conclusion I reached with other similar ones I reached earlier to see if there are any other subjects I can apply such a philosophy to to speed up future reading and or meditation. And I have a limited amount of meditation space, making any reading I do be whenever I don't have any meditation to do. Leading to me basically never reading as the time limit would also still be enforced due to loaning. In essence, because I take my sweet time thinking about the philosophical nature of the books I read, or the philosophical nature I see the books use, I stress about meditating on the subject faster, which makes it slower, that then means that I essentially give up on actually reading the book due to the loan. I have thus completely given up on reading what I do not own. ...Perhaps if you throw an idea in the ring we could perhaps put up a topic on Eientei or wherever it would best fit as a start. In fact, there was a little short story in Gensokyo I made just for fun. Though I am going to have to dig around for it. Maybe that could be a baseline? -
As I posted here an eternity if we're talking internet terms ago, there is a world that my OC came from that I've steadily been building bit by bit... and might have a few books worth of in story writing that I'm embarrassed to share with the wider populace of the world. So please don't hurry yourself, just create what you feel is a natural progression from the plot points you want to explore, even if you have to delete entire sections of your book. Advice which I might've had a hard time following, as the most judgmental critic of your own book is yourself. However, that's not all I want to post here. And as I continued experiencing the world around, as well as doing world-building for Yru, this statement held true as Shinso Hakui has now become two different people yet held the same past. Mostly because I wanted to explore how different a person can become depending on the dominant personality trait. You know how I offhandedly remarked that Shinso is powerful enough to be a Kasha? Yeah, some shenanigans that she initiated happened and now the Kasha is half her soul inhabiting some other poor (human) Nekomata's body whose soul was sent to an area simply called the Court akin to the Yama of Touhou which is effectively death in this universe. The Kasha reverted back to Nyoko Hakui while Shinso Hakui, the (Shinto) Nekomata half who stayed in the original body, would refer to herself as such. The Hakui people being a cover name for Tsuki Kasha, which they were and are revered as a hero of the place they inhabit, yet that name was also used as a cover name for Mina No Katto which is just a name for joking fun. And maybe because I exercise a blunt naming style for most of the names in the world. One does not just name a city "Hayaku" and expect the joke to not be immediately obvious to anyone with even a modicum of knowledge of the Japanese language. The dominant traits of both is held in the beliefs of their respective myths, or at least what understanding I can garner about them. The Kasha tend to have a sadistic bent while the (Shinto) Nekomata tend to have a vindictive bent. I have also assigned them different domains of expertise already but I've been talking for a while now and the rest of the stuff I'll list hereafter are things that require a bit of explaining but are rooted in some myth or sacred text. Canonically in the world, the Nekomata is the custodian of the Path of Needles. To add to that, the Kasha works for the Path of Needles. Hell runs a feudal system like the Japanese one with king Enma substituting for the Japanese emperor. The Four Horseman of the Apocalypse as is written in the bible is a thing. King Enma is the Horseman of Famine. If you want more explanation, you can ask. The answer might have to wait, but I'll have one ready. God, why do I keep writing such large walls of text?

"What inspired the alien background?" Stellaris. I wanted a uniform country of my own to roleplay as. After I had my share of fun playing Stellaris (for now), I didn't want all that lore I created to go to waste and came up with what happened to humanity there. The Republic of the Eternal Night is the name of the country I created for Stellaris, and it is the name of the country on Yru whom I am currently working on in terms of lore for maybe a potential book about Yru sometime in my lifetime. For now I just work on it when I have the time and I want to write in the first place.

(I was impatient and don't expect your forgiveness, but please allow me to add this.) …She was noticed by the guard on the hill. In response to this realization, she dropped all pretense of strategy and started running towards the pillars, but she tripped over something and plummeted onto the ground. The thing she fell over now decided to start running towards the pillars as well, leaping a gigantic length to the guard and started grappling with him. Seeing an opportunity in this chaos, Mina found a hole in the wall she didn’t see before and entered the ramparts. Inside, she was able to pinpoint where the spirit she was hunting was and sneaked her way there. The camp was very lively due to the person who was grappling and winning with one of their own. When she found the spirit and forced it to stop possessing the member of the Warband it was possessing, murdering said person to keep the vengeful spirit from thinking about escape. The Nekomata used her spirit-capturing tools swiftly and was going to the exit, when she noticed that the person she tripped over was someone she knew: the grasshopper youkai known as Kusa. Though, before she could acknowledge the fact, he was decapitated in a gruesome spectacle… Mina took long enough finding and capturing the spirit, she doesn’t have any energy left to take vengeance against an entire group of outlaws. Leaving the ramparts through the same way she came in, with blood dripping down her hands from clawing someone to death, she ran away from the outpost until she couldn’t see it anymore before failing to orient herself. Luckily, there were tracks to follow to somewhere.

I would provide you with an answer, if I knew the popular opinion of any games I have played. Seriously, I could not tell you of a single person's opinion both online and in real life who knows what Scarlet Nexus is. That might just be side effect of my style of finding games to play, however. Switchcars is another one, but I have not a single clue where the fanbase of that game is. And I have never played something like Fortnite, and never plan to because the few people who I do know play that game I would never get along with... ever. So instead of not leaving you with a straight answer: I'll just list which obscure games I like, that I can remember. -Scarlet Nexus. Even though the story was pretty cliche, the combat was awesome and I liked the soundtrack. Definitely something I'd recommend. -Switchcars. I had fun getting absorbed by aliens when I picked it up. Never got any good at it though. Recommended for those who like highscores in games. -The Acceleration of Suguri 2. I had fun playing through this Bullet Hell VS story modes... Though again, I was never any good at it. As long as 100% Orange Juice exists, this exists. Not recommended for beginner Danmaku fighters like myself. I generally try to not play what I don't like, so I can't exactly tell you of any games that I don't like... Except Suguri and Sora, those two were too high a bar for me to play and I didn't exactly have fun. They're great games, just not for me. I hope that is a sufficient answer to your question.

Mina could tell that her quarry – the vengeful spirit – had already infiltrated this camp. Getting noticed would likely also alert the spirit, so her original plan went out the already shattered window again. She was looking at the palisades from a far enough distance to not alert the guards to her presence, though her black uniform contrasts with the green grass… The fog covered most of the fields she travelled on, she had to rely on a map, a pencil and her faint knowledge of the position of the vengeful spirits, both escaped and imprisoned, to sketch an idea of where she was. That same fog kept her covered for now, but she couldn’t see farther than five meters. She turned the parchment on which she recorded her probable position around, and drew how she knew the Great Hill went… and then the fortifications she could see or infer… As expected, it’s impossible to slip in undetected. Ramparts, she understood. She was thinking about such things when she noticed that she was being watched and readied her whip in case it was an enemy.

Ah, yes, OC's, a microcosm of your own character development. You draw from your own experiences about the world to create them and call for them to help guide you in the eternal march of life towards death. My OC... well, there's an entire history for her. While I never designed her to be a Gensokyan, the entire reason I created her was as a self-insert that could fit everywhere. Originally called Nyoko Hakui, she first went through multiple story arcs as I was going through them in FNAF and later Undertale. I don't remember every single franchise she went through, but eventually, likely due to a desire to stave off boredom, she got killed. There was another OC ready to replace her, of course. This new person, named Shinso Hakui, came into being shortly after I discovered Touhou, I think. Yet my imagination acts in mysterious ways where I have to work to actually catch a story, so she might've existed before then. Why all that history? Well, I have had to attend enough funerals for a lifetime, and my parents still live... I suppose Shinso here was my brain trying to grasp the concept of having my parents funeral in my lifetime. Shinso, while filling the role of Nyoko, still has a different personality. In a way, if I ever were to cross-reference the decisions Shinso made with the decisions Nyoko would have made, I'd come with two different universes. Shinso, while maybe not made for Gensokyo again, does enjoy living in Gensokyo and if I were to ever retire the character, she would choose the place. As for her actual place she comes from... well, I call it Yru. Yru is a future where the Earth has gone to hell and hasn't come back yet. Humanity got destroyed by aliens and experimented upon by them turning some into creatures similar to catgirls (with two tails and they call themselves Nekomata... I'm not hiding my inspiration there.) or people with wings for arms. Those were then sent to a planet named Yru that the aliens commit suicide on. The same substance that causes the aliens to commit suicide also summons lesser beings of a faith, (It does not care which.) and allows some people to perform feats of magic. It is in this Universe that Shinso was born in, as a (Shinto) Nekomata, she exists purely for vengeance. Her adoration of humans prevents her from being vengeful towards her, so she directs her anger towards the aliens who put the humans in this poor position. I'll also mention that those aliens caused a particular part of the planet to always be devoid of a sun. Yet she is also powerful enough to be considered a Kasha, which makes her an interesting character in her own right. She appears as a Nekomata in her everyday form, wearing the usual black full-body suit of the Nekomata of the Eternal Night. Though she has been trying out more casual clothes as of recent. She has full-on bloodred eyes, though not bloodshot ones. Quite tall for our standards, standing at just over two meters. But average for that universe, and considering that Shinso needs to fit in, you can infer why she chose that tall. I explain this with the real world example of breeding to make people giant, which worked in Prussia and Darwin even gave that as an example for his theory of evolution. She has pure black hair and keeps semi-long so it doesn't get in the way of her view when battling. Thanks for reading this far. I encourage you to be inquisitive about things you don't understand or want more information about; I'll be happy to answer you... Though now I have my reservations about the legality of such things. I can hardly remain on topic for half the post, now can I?

…Perhaps Katt should’ve listened to the Underqueen’s advice about taking more weapons with her. If she were to battle those three, she’d likely lose. Yet she can sense a slight desire for vengeance against Sanguine Rose for bringing them to this situation. Perhaps if she can rally these youkai and others with such desire, she won’t have to actually go meet the Scourge of Genbu directly… Then again, they did just talk about cannibalism. Even if they had to meet her directly, making them die a painful death will make Mina’s surrender seem more believable. “You three seem new around these parts. I myself am somewhat of a veteran of the area, so you can ask me anything about these parts,” Mina said to buy more time to think about what to do with them. She recalled her past experiences and a few hidden stashes she made a while back to keep them engaged in conversation. Her hand on her whip if she needed to fight. “Aw, the Youkai is trying to gaslight us. How about we talk about your time here while we eat you?” Enenra rhetorically asked as she ordered the other two to attack. They both tried to get close enough for a jab, but Mina’s whipping kept them a safe distance away... for now. Now that the original plan has failed spectacularly, she decided that it was time for her vengeance. She unleashed a whipping on the Youkai to the right of her and dashed out of the encirclement. Looking behind her to see if they were still following her, she changed the scenery from her camp to open plains. What might have seemed like an incredibly idiotic move, were it not for the pitfalls she knew were here. The leader of the group seemingly forgot that there were pitfalls here, or they were new arrivals of this area, because he fell in one of those deceptive tricks. Alternatively, they just didn’t know where the ground was going to collapse because they avoided this area like the plague. The others, in their hurry to save their leader, also fell into very deep pits. Katt’s final act of vengeance for these youkai driven to pure insanity by hunger was to hunt frogs and gut as well as dissect them, leaving as little nutrients as possible for when they eventually dig their way out of the holes. One for each potential cannibal. Back to the mission at hand, she recalled a hill overlooking this area of the Plains and the Central Valley, nicknamed the Great Hill by the locals, that people were constantly fighting over. So, after packing her things, this time not getting interrupted by people or barbarians, she decided to pay a visit there and see if it was still the absolute warzone it was when she left the Plains. Also, if these Wonderer Humans actually existed, they’d probably take a keen interest in the strategic positioning of the Great Hill.

My username comes from my original self-insert character. Or rather, the first name I decided to use consistently for said character. I even have her appearance internalized, should you want to know it for some reason. Earlier versions had alternating versions of references to Sakuya Izayoi, minus the... you know. Not exactly in the mood to die today. Nyoko Hakui was her full name, simply because it sounded Japanese enough to work. Just to note, all my accounts have the last name Hakui attached to it, which would mean that for some accounts the name is literally 'Hakui Hakui'... Naming people that appear in my hyperactive and nearly impossible to shut down fantasy has since become a pastime for me. Like, who the hell comes up with Fueren Ayasei for a name, or Lukas Mannschryft for that matter?

Mina Katt woke up on a carriage headed for Scarlet Castle Town, where she intends to gain an audience with Empress Remilia the first and ask for the whereabouts of the Sanguine Warband. She woke up just in time to hear the driver announce that they have arrived, and promptly stepped out of the carriage. She got a lot of glares from the citizens going about their daily business, likely because seeing foreigners was not something they were expecting today. Mina, however, didn’t mind their stares and just walked towards the most prominent building in the town and the political centre of the Empire: the Scarlet Devil Castle. “State your business here,” the guard at the gate of the Castle said. “I am here to request an audience with the Empress, further details as to why is in this envelope,” Mina answered while giving the envelope to the guard. “…That all checks out, you can continue to the waiting room,” the guard said while opening the gate for her. While waiting for her audience with the Empress, she decided to review the case one more time so she got her facts straight. Two days ago, a guard in her prison noticed that a spirit was missing, which resulted in an internal investigation trying to find out who was missing. The prison also went into lockdown for the duration of the investigation as they tried to find the escape route and seal it off, so there is no way more spirits broke out. The spirit was nameless, likely because it recently became one. Testimony from other phantoms suggest that the spirit was involved in the First Scarlet war, which would mean that its vengeance is likely to be directed at the Scourge of Genbu. “Mina Katt, your audience will begin shortly. Please follow the me to the audience chamber,” a librarian asked. Katt complied and went to the audience hall. She kneeled before the throne before starting the audience. “I am sorry to drag you into Underworld affairs, but a vengeful spirit has escaped Former Hell and likely headed towards the Sanguine Warband. As that army was under your employ, may I ask if you know the whereabouts of them?” she politely asked. “If that spirit causes chaos for those extremists, wouldn’t that be more interesting than the running around they’re currently doing?” the Empress offered. “I’m afraid that would set a precedent that would cause the collapse of any kind of government. I would like to avoid that, if at all possible,” Mina stated. “…We last saw the Warband heading towards the Fantasy Plains, you can test your luck there.” “Thank you for granting me an audience, your majesty.” Katt then immediately set off for the Fantasy Plains, hoping that the Empress of the Scarlet Empire didn’t set her off on the wrong foot.

It's fine, it would be an interesting relationship to explore, as well. The cat of a dead employee technically betraying the business... the possibilities are enticing, to say the least. As for how she would meet the rest of our merry band of partners... Well, she is hunting for a vengeful spirit that likely joined the sanguine brigade, though there are other options for you to choose from. The Former Hell Prison Complex isn't exactly doing great at this time, that's for sure.

For that to happen, humans have to be okay with a lot of things that defy common sense; like being okay with humans getting stolen and eaten on the regular. My personal opinion would be that humans and youkai will forever be at odds with each other unless there is an inversion of sin and virtue. for instance, in the case of the kasha, humans would have to be okay with or even encourage stealing corpses from funerals. However, were the humans to accept that as something that's okay, then that opens the can of worms that is questioning the humanity of those humans. And because youkai need human belief to exist, testing Byakuren's theory of coexistence is a risky move that I'm certain the sages wouldn't allow unless they managed to create a smaller Gensokyo inside Gensokyo. Some youkai can coexist peacefully like Byakuren believes, otherwise there would be no basis for her belief. The satori, for example, can perfectly coexist with humans, save the near-constant headaches they would get. In summary, Byakuren is half-correct in her belief, some youkai can indeed live peacefully with humans. But other youkai are evil incarnate and will inevitably fall into battle with the humans. So... if I were to reduce this to a yes or no question then, considering Gensokyo is a nature preserve for all youkai, the answer would be... no.

I am Nyoko, someone who likes to write theatrically for reasons unknown to myself. I like the philosophical and the enigmatic and found Touhou to be right up my alley when it revealed itself to me sometime forever ago. I also love cats, the reason for which I'll let you guess. As for things I dislike... aversion to knowledge and thus willing stupidity are a major deal-breaker. I will take any chance I can get at contributing the information I know to any discussion I would like to be a part of, if it hasn't already been said or implied already. So please, enjoy the thought-provoking mysterious spectacle of my theatrically written comments to your knowledgeable hearts content~. And don't be afraid to ask questions. A pursuit of knowledge is what drives humanity in a direction, after all.

Are We Slowly Succumbing To Easy Content Brainrot? (Totally Legit Topic)
Nyoko replied to Reitisen's topic in Misty Lake
This brain-rot functions like a disease, really. Tiktok is just the newest variant of it. And like any disease, there are ways to counter it. Though I wouldn't know how to deal with the current epidemic... Except maybe internet quarantine? How would that even work? As someone who consumed a copious amount of Youtube and still continues to do so to a lesser extent, You can see the timeline of slowly degrading attention spans in the content of the most popular youtubers... I believe. Hell, I believe there are studies that show the decrease in attention spans from 12 to 8 seconds, so there are actual consequences to this disease which we collectively call brain-rot. As the person above me did, there is a way for people suffering Brain-rot to recover from it and some mentalities (in my experience) are completely immune to it.
