I've very much enjoyed contributing to the Other Game Music thread, and I'd like to start doing something similar with Touhou related music. This thread will be for the sharing of musical discoveries made in the Touhou fandom, whether they be remixes or original works in the style of Touhou. There's been a few threads like this already, but my hope is the more open-ended style of this will make it more accessible. If anyone hasn't checked the Remix Tournament and Monthly Music Sharing threads, there's some great music to be found there! To start off, a comment on a LENK64 video led me to this circle. Apparently they do remixes in the styles of the games. For example, Bad Apple!!, but in the style of Touhou 11 ~ Subterranean Animism: I've appreciated quite a few of their covers. If there's a Touhou related piece of music anyone would like to share, please do! I'll commit to contributing once a week.

We all know a couple doujin music groups from japan or europe or elsewhere, but I wanna know if there are any touhou music circles based in the U.S. that I can listen to. Support the small local guys here, y'know?

What do you think is the best lead instrument used in touhou songs, and also give examples of it being used! Actually I'm not sure if you can respond to a poll For me I would probably go with piano, because most of my favorite themes use it (beloved tomboyish girl, alice in wonderland, etc.). But damn Raiko's theme makes me want to choose drums

Greetings, I want to start experimenting a bit with music creation in order to start making covers of songs and maybe create my own after awhile. I would like to know if any creators could help regarding this subject? I am looking for sound fonts for FL Studio, name of instruments regarding these fonts '(because there are tons of them and I'm not entirely certain which one I should use for which purpose), general advices regarding the ZUN style creation etc... In anyway, thanks for reading my post, I can't wait to read your replies ! -

In general, I've been interested in music for as long as I've been able to conceive humans thoughts, however, this had me wondering. What sort of music do other people like? I'm big on genres like Shoegaze (Bands like My Dead Girlfriend, Honeydip, Masudore, Kinoko Teikoku), and alternative rock bands (Ling Tosite Sigure, The Pillows, etc). I'm always hungry for a new genre of music, or a redo of the same genres we all know and love. Won't you tell me your favorite albums? If you haven't got any, at least one of your favorite songs. If there's any special meaning to you liking the specific album so much, I'd love an explanation. Looking forward to it! Here's one of mine: -
