  1. Just finished my first play through on the switch and I’m not quite sure what to think about the game. I had a blast early to mid game where you only control a few characters. Late game was a chore, AP gains are either too fast to cycle through them meaningful or too slow making battles last for a long time. Enemies felt either like damage sponges, nukes, both or neither depending on the team composition. Reimu had a permanent spot in the team for me, since her upgraded heal is just too good to pass up on and massively overshadowed every other healer in the game. Sanae was my second permanent pick for her ability to grant others 3 AP. Combining this with Satori + Utsuho/Saki keeps the spell gauge filled up. Add to this a damage dealer of your choice (Marisa in my case) and you curbstomp anything up to the final boss. Despite these flaws I had a lot of fun with the game and hope that there maybe will be a dlc in the future. What I would love to see is a PvP, either online or local, preferably both, added in the future. Anyway, I’m interested in what others have to say about the game and what good working team comps you have stumbled upon.
  2. In terms of classic Danmaku gameplay I would love to see a game where you have roguelite RPG elements. Or to elaborate: Having the ability to strengthen/level/gear up/etc. your chosen heroine. The ability cards in 18 were my single favourite addition to the entire series so far. Maybe we could get a system where we have the option to forgo the spell/bomb in exchange for 2 different unfocused shot types for example. Other than that I would love a proper RPG, like playing Morrowind or Oblivion, just instead of Tamriel we can explore Gensokyo in all its glory. Or a BotW/TotK style (and quality) Action-Adventure for that matter.
