  1. When we were introducing ourselves for the RP thread, you said that the Touhou Reading Log thread was very interesting. I would like to inquire on the reasons why you found the thread interesting as feedback on the log, and also to know what was your reaction to the works introduced on the thread.

This is all to say that appreciated your comment on the reading log. Thank you.

Hi, I just like reading and thought it was neat to see all those touhou books/stories :)

Since I've never read an actual touhou fanfiction before, seeing all those books you listed opened my eyes to just how much variety and talent there is in touhou literature. For some reason I've always known about so many touhou artworks, remixes, and fangames yet it never hit me that there exists just as much writing as well. On top of that, your commentary also brings up information about the author, which will definitely be useful if I go looking for touhou stories in the future.

I've only read a few of your logs so far, but it's going great! :MeilingThumbsUp:(Also isn't it tiring to post daily?)

Glad to see you enjoying Touhou fanfiction!

It always felt like to me that Touhou literature was very unpopular compared to visual arts, music, and games. That why I decided to start the reading log as to bring exposure to this niche subculture of the Touhou community and that being a success based on your comments.

As for the daily posting of the reading log, I been tracking how long it takes me to write these entries on my internal reading log document. On average, it takes me about 1hr and 30min to finish an entry, starting from when I write the first character of the entry, and ending when I post on Moriya Shrine with all the needed images/formatting.

Now, is it tiring sometimes? Yep, especially since my time to write comes mainly at night during the week. However, I keep to the daily schedule as writing the entries has helped put my own thoughts on Touhou literature, forming new connections between characters, subjects, and theme of Touhou literature. Plus, it is my little shoutout to NaNoWriMo to fit with the theme of literature.

By the way, what is your favorite work/entry so far?

Wow, an hour and a half everyday is some commitment.

As I said previously I've only actually read the first few entries, so it's a bit tough for me to decide my favorite. But I became most interested in reading Manjuu, because the very exaggerated style caught my eye. As for what I think is your best post (not work), is Touhou in Malaysia. You gave lots of detail about the events, and all those links sent me into a mini rabbit hole :)

I wish I could post something on the log, but I haven't read any touhou fanfiction. Yet.
