Late to the party, and maybe not adding much to the topic... but daym, this Lost Word business weighs heavily on my gamer heart. I want to like this game, and I want to discover the story, but this game is just, like... poor. The fights are in greatest majority completely unengaging and playing them feels like a waste of time, aside from boss battles which SOMETIMES offer something more (the Yukari fight actually stopped me in my tracks for a while, forcing me to master the P management, tracking of buffs, and getting the feel of using Graze... only because my luck with gacha was so lousy that I barely got any Friends, so I did not have any attacks she would be weak against). It would be aggravating to have those completely inconsequential, often completely unexplained in story random fairy battles interrupting the story, if it wasn't so dull! Playing on Hard requires clearing the stages on Normal already, so that's not a fix.. and, anyway, the power curve in this game is pretty steep, so there's hardly any possibility of running into anything that wouldn't be cleared by having higher levels. The story is kinda interesting, the fanservice for me, atm, mostly tasteful and sometimes funny/hilarious/amusing, without usually getting too offensive, and the artstyle is nice. The inclusion of the player-insert character isn't done too badly (even if characters are weirdly friendly, polite, and welcoming to her).
Yet, I wait for Danmaku Kagura to come out, even if its artstyle seems more dull, just for a chance for ANY real gameplay.
