If it's a name to fill in the required amount of players that you guys need then feel free to use mine. However, I can't promise to be here on the stipulated date though, mostly because I'll be either at work or going to college so I probably won't even have the time to play with you all but if you guys need my opinion or decision for something then I can set a behavior for myself based in what I would do in most situations. Well, mine's pretty straightforward, get introduced to Touhou, really like the universe around it, and also wanna play some games I hear some talks about this website, and i eventually use it! Piracy here in my country isn't really seen in a bad light, so it's a no-brainer Around August of last year, i wanted to do something for the community, so i contributed my 1st album, which eventually...well, you're seeing it. Hard to believe it's only been around 8 months since then...

Friends brought me here, telling me that this would be a neat place for me to get into Touhou, this was back in 2021.

I agree, that's why we need to keep it going, or else it will lose it's light. We really gotta be grateful of life dude... there's so much in it. This is also why I believe in God, I feel like there is something more bigger than and unknown to me, so I put all of it in his hands. Plus, there's so much lessons to be learned too! The games exceeded my budget of $0 so I had to set sail by asking the almighty r/piratedgames for directions.

I'm a simple Crab. I set sail for plundering but ended up staying. I think I visited this place a long while ago for downloading some games, but I'm not certain if it was really here or somewhere else. Years later I got here (again?) and thought "Well, let's give a shot to that Discord server" and few weeks after that I decided to make an account here as well. I may or may not be lost at the sea, yet I shall keep sailing while there is booty to be found!

Over this past year I have been building up a collection of Touhou literature, ranging from manga, fanfictions, zines, and research papers. But I noticed that of discussion of Touhou literature is limited online. In an effort to rectify that issue, this thread's purpose is to act as a reading log on Touhou literature by sharing the work's details like story, characters, themes, art style, etc. Of course, any discussion about the work or sharing a Touhou work within the domain of literature is always welcome. I guess it's more about awareness since your works fully covering mentioned topics in them. Touhou has no starter point to get dragged in (You can obviously start from touhou 2/6, but it doesn't really matter if you start getting intrested in touhou from written work or any kind of music since it leads to one thing - getting into series), and it really never needed it because it's like putting together a puzzle to get one image in result. It was always this way and even now, but touhou got distorted and ZUN really needs to do retrospection on his series to realise the things that made touhou as touhou and reappraise what he really wants for touhou. In realistic scenario he is only one able to carry this out, he needs to work only with people who actually care about touhou itself as series(opinion of a dilettante(who asked>?)). If there's manual work that can be putted on someone else i would be glad to help with this.

You've... scrambled my brain. I don't know what to say. At first I just want to get clarification on your main points, because honestly, your post is huge. Is this interpretation correct? -Problem1: Bigger websites (discord, facebook, etc.) get more popular -> fans leave main touhou websites -> fans are in smaller divided circles (ex: discord servers) -> more divide/drama -Problem2: Touhou getting enfranchised -> lower effort games -> more negativity towards the series -Outcome: Combining outcomes of problems 1 & 2 -> harder for newcomers to get in -> less fans -> entire fanbase begins to degrade (fanworks and events) -Solution: Everybody going back to centralized touhou websites OR creating a huge website list containing all fan circles I'm really not too sure if I understood everything. Please let me know if I misunderstood anything.
