I see someone has been listening to my ramblings about thinking in character, though the metaphorical scale here is even in this regard. That is my understanding as well, knowing from my network of slightly related topics which somehow makes everyone thinks I understand the lore of Touhou deeply despite only knowing hearsay and using plausible conjecture to structure an argument that A is indeed A... Though even just welding the Dream World and the World of Fantasies can guarantee a substantial amount of OCs. Those two options are not strictly opposite to one another. Sure, Oscar could attempt to blend in, but he has enough knowledge about Gensokyo to know the difference between a 'Youkai' and a 'Human' while also having the knowledge of costumes to see through most of them (I think, we know jack about Oscar's past other than he's a magician). This would certainly spice things up for the first few interactions, until he wises up, that is. So we would certainly not be having 'normal human villager simulator' for at least the first day or three. As I have already stated, but in case you forgot while reading through the above wall of text, I was in one of them (Specifically the one where Oscar Diggs, the President of Otherworldly Ventures was about to be introduced) The main problem I see is that there are few consistently active members with enough of a drive to create an OC and follow through with it for an RP to work. My character had a distant relationship with mister Diggs, being the cat of one of his employees who died when he attempted to form a trade agreement with the Lunarians. (Though my impression from everything I read about that Oscar was that he was about to put on an opening ceremony for the first store in the Human Village, not a magician in the Outside World sense.) I still hate that last post I wrote in the IC, but I'm not going to go change the history of that thing now, as it has become something of a landmark in my brain of what to not do. No worries. I'm enjoying not having all the answers constantly. :) Writing does sometimes feel a little contrived. You'll need all the tricks you can get. About a year ago I tried to start a bunch of RPs in the RP channel Eientei. It went alright at first, but we kept cycling through members, and I soon got overwhelmed by IRL. But I had various NPCs planned for the games. Someone had this idea to create a Mario Kart style fangame as a Bloodborne spin-off. Random though this idea may sound, those behind it were enthusiastic enough to see it through to production, including an entire soundtrack, though it ultimately did not see release due to copyright. The soundtrack was published thereafter, and while it had merit, it did not appeal as much to me (I'm not familiar with the motifs of Bloodborne), so the matter seemed settled there. Then the team decided to rebrand their game into something more original; while it would retain its aesthetic inspiration, direct references thereto were reworked to make the project safe to release. This also resulted in the soundtrack being remastered, with the new version being significantly more fine-tuned in instrumentation and arrangement in my opinion. Evelyn Lark (a.k.a. The Noble Demon) is the composer for Nightmare Kart, and her chosen style for the project is reminiscent of other racing games, being high-energy and extremely jazzy. A slight horror element is also infused, though more strongly in some pieces then others; having seen some footage of the gameplay, I'm surprised this was the preferred accompaniment, though I'm anything but disappointed.

Chinese Touhou Wiki (THBwiki), a lot of forums, sites related to Touhou events and other big important Touhou sites and (according to some Chinese fans) some QQ and Telegram Touhou-related chats and Touhou-related servers for multiplayer games are under organised attack, which began 5 days ago and is becoming stronger day by day. Today the all services related to THBwiki which were hosted by Nyasama became down. To somehow understand the damage to Chinese Touhou fandom imagine if in 2011 Touhou wiki, MotK, gensokyo.org and most other Western Touhou sites became down at the same time. Nobody knows the goal of the attack and how long it would last. Maybe Western and Japanese Touhou sites are under looming threat. We should be prepared to that.
