Alright, this was done in this general format due to the fact that you can only have two questions for a poll. (if you were wondering why it isn't in poll format) To start off, this is a general questionnaire of the current fanbase of the site's denizens. This is to get a basic understanding of what kinds of people are present here and how one views Touhou as of now. Some questions are limited, but others are open for responses depending on choices. You can give an explanation for each choice and question if you want to, as I'm interested in what you guys respond with. 1. When did you get into Touhou? A. Before Windows Era (PC-98) ~ 1997–2001 B. During the start of Windows Era (6, 7, 7.5, 8, 9, 9.5) ~ 2002–2006 C. Second section of Windows Era (10, 10.5, 11, 12, 12.3, 12.5, 12.8, 13) ~ 2007–2012 D. Third Windows Era (13.5, 14, 14.3, 14.5, 15) ~ 2013–2016 E. Modern Era (15.5, 16, 16.5, 17) ~ 2017–2020 F. Present (17.5, 18, 18.5, 19) ~ 2021-2024 2. What made you first interested in Touhou? A. Primary works (Official games, music, manga, and art) B. Secondary works (fangames, music, manga, and art) C. Social influence (friends, family, and others) D. Other (Explain for this choice) 3. What made you stay with Touhou? This one is an open response since many people have different reasonings for staying within Touhou. 4. What level of fanbase do you like to interact with? A. Majority (Tumblr, Reddit, YouTube, Twitter, anything with a huge fanbase presence) B. Medium (Smaller end communities such as this site (MS), MOTK and a couple others) C. Small (Friends/friend groups, family, and others) 5. How familiar are you with Touhou lore and story? A. Quite a lot (Mainline games/Hiffu club, etc.) B. Average (only know about some character backstories and some story of games, but not to the point of remembering everything) C. None to little 6. Do you think Touhou is the hardest bullet-hell game? This one is open to response, as most people have different levels of playstyles and experiences with STGs. 7. Do you think Touhou Gacha harmed the franchise? This one is also open to response, as it can be viewed as both positive and negative depending on which side you are on. This is in general, though TLW might be the one that most are familiar with given its global prosperity. 8. Is piracy within Touhou good or bad? IKR, asking this question on a piracy site, but often times you can get interesting responses compared to crowds of people who care about moral projection. open response, but with leading questions. 1. It's good 2. It's bad 3. Other 9. How flanderized do you think Touhou characters are? If you don't know what "flanderization" is, it is the knowledge of a character whose complex traits are boiled down to oversimplified representations that represent the character in a static personality. (basically, they are very easily seen as X characters or "crazy") (This question encompasses every character.) A. 1–2 not flanderized at all B. 3–4 little bit C. 5–6 seared, but not charred D. 7–8, affecting their character E. 9-10 Everyone sees them as one way 10. Overall, which era(s) did you like/dislike the most? I am open to responses, basically asking which era of Touhou games you personally think is the best.3 points

Technology is generally misunderstood in Gensokyo, in much the same way magic is on Earth. Gensokyo's natives follow lives of physical toil and union with nature. This simple—but not unsophisticated—lifestyle leads to them to underestimate the value and use of science. Items like cellphones sold for thousands on Earth are paperweights sold for a handful of Mon. With some creative use, you can use modern technology to deceive Human and Youkai alike. Though be exceptionally cautious, as few will indulge open acts of trickery. Electricity is a scarce resource in Gensokyo, and most technology will swiftly become useless. However any technology you have may be sold at the Kirisame-ya Trading Post, Kourindou or Otherworldly Curiosities for reasonable prices. We also provide recharging services for 50 Hz and 60 Hz, for 2 Shu per device, or 2 Bu per hour of use. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= “Come on. Let’s find a gate.” Exhaustion stung at Oscar’s feet. Though it was not so bad now, that he was so near his destination. Silently, Agappa-chan watched him go. Before following after him. Her sandals ringing out after him. The wall extended for a few dozen yards. Rounding a corner, Oscar couldn’t help but smile with satisfaction. Ahead was a wooden gate. Flanked by a pair of paper lanterns swaying in the evening breeze. The area looked unguarded, without so much as a watchman on the parapet overhead. That was fine. He had a way around it. Reaching into his pocket, he felt around for a moment before pulling out his cellphone. The device had only so much power. About 44%. There was no reception, but all he needed was the bluetooth feature. Scrolling over to the media player, he hummed to himself as he looked over his options. His music player was mostly filled with children's songs, often from movies. He would have liked to choose a self-aggrandizing song, but would the townsfolk react well to that... At his elbow Agappa-chan looked up at him with a blank expression of curiosity. Normally, her gaze would have creeped him out. This time, he couldn’t help but smile. This had to get a reaction from her. Turning on the ‘record’, button, he spoke with as powerful a voice as he could into the phone. “People of the Human Village! I am Oscar Diggs, the Great and Powerful! Magician Magnificent, and Sorcerer beyond compare! I am weary, and have journeyed far. Grant me the mercy of your shelter, and I shall reward you.” Finding the perfect option, he clicked on the song. Setting the timer to begin playing thirty seconds afterward. Easing the phone into his pocket, he instead reached into a pocket of his cloak. Pulling free a set of colorful balls. Yellow, red and blue all shone in the moonlight. First one ball, then two, three, and then eight. In any other circumstance, he might have felt stupid performing without an audience. But magic was all about presentation. As the balls bounced from one hand to another, music began to emanate from them. The low dulcet sound of the Blue Danube Waltz emerging from the bluetooth speakers inside. At the sound, Agappa started backwards in shock. Her already partially agape mouth falling open in her surprise. The small victory brought a smile to his face, even as he threw one of the spheres in his hand over the wall. Another followed, then another three. Each carrying the sound as they bounced and rolled along the cobbled streets or alongside thatched homes. Strange sounds in the night were not uncommon in folktales and warnings of the Youkai and Kami. Though they had little in common with the strange Western music playing just outside their windows. It was not long before the sounds drew out the townsfolk. First peeking from behind reed curtains, then stealing looks outside their doors, and as the orchestra built, finally stepping into the street. After all, there were no capering goblins or dread spirits in the street. Each ball continuing to bounce, as the orchestra played. Some children stared in wonder, while others played or danced. The sounds of surprise and wonder carrying over the wall. Oscar smiled. Sometimes he loved his job. But not as much as he would with his next trick. As the music turned low, each ball in the street transmitted his voice. The sounds of the village sounded more urgent now, and it was not long before faces appeared over the gatehouse, gazing down at the traveler and his companion. All that remained was to see who answered his demand… =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Who answers the gate? = A concerned school teacher in a blue dress and a very strange hat. = A historian who has never recorded anything quite like this. = A book-renter, who does not know what kind of magic this is. = A hopeful blacksmith, mesmerized by this strange display. = A friendly spirit, distracted from her duties serving drinks.1 point

touhou on twitter is a mixture of good art, the most racist shit you've ever seen, the most insanely obsessed yuri fans ever and the coolest people you'll ever find and the 2 in the middle speak so loud it genuinely makes me hate touhou more and more even tho it's not even the fault of the franchise itself also good to note it has some of the most annoying people in the planet, but that's a bit more subjective I believe1 point

When you peruse any of the download categories, you might now be able to see files from their subcategories without having to visit each one directly (main Downloads page excluded) Created the Articled drop-down menu in the top menu and moved some articles in there Related to the point above, we now have an article for a Touhou Link List (github link) so that you can find more Touhou through your source for all things Touhou Whatever else might have happened in over half a year of no one posting a site changelog1 point
