as a californian, school here is absolute dog water. i have been slapped with the state test now because its the mfing STATE TEST. i could go on with ranting how sh_tty my school is but i’d rather not rn

I appreciate the speculations, they're fun interactions. I don't want to mislead, though; I play very few of the games I feature soundtracks for, and since my focus is the often the music regardless, I tend to refer to the production as a whole in both contexts. I'm pretty sure the only proper fighting game I've even touched is Touhou 15.5, assuming that even counts; I am a fan of Rivals of Aether, though. I've done two features on Guilty Gear: Guilty Gear XX on 04/14/21 (14/04/21) and Guilty Gear Strive on 04/12/22 (12/04/22). The latter was what I was referring to in the latest post, in addition to the Killer Instinct feature from 07/19/23 (19/07/23). The linking factor was vocal tracks; you can figure out the rest. The month-long series features of late have been an opportunity to force myself into becoming familiar with iconic franchise soundtracks that I just wasn't around to discover when they first came out. It's one thing to look into a single soundtrack, but something else entirely to choose from several related soundtracks that somewhat depend upon familiarity with each other for full appreciation. Last year I did Legend of Zelda, Mega Man, and Pokemon, and thus far this year I've done Kirby; in future I hope to cover Castlevania and Sonic (since I'm only familiar with select entries of those series), as well as Metroid and potentially Fire Emblem. But none of those are the plan for next month. I've mentioned in the past my struggle with SNES soundtracks, and this is especially true for one of the most iconic soundtracks from that era. I'll leave it at that.

This is totally gonna be long,... if I went with it for that long, idk, just feeling like writing it all out, why not. But ye, feel free to share ur story if u want or u can read wat I have to say.

I generally don't think of my school that well, mostly because of my classmates and because of some other factors. There's also this one story I remember from primary school but I think it sounds like something out of r/stories or whatever.

My high school experience wasn't that bad as I kept to myself and group of friends, but there were a lot of issues with staff, students and administration. Also like koakumas said f state tests, idk how the california one is but the STAAR and TELPAS were dogwater.

I'm glad you enjoyed it so much that you wrote to thank me! I'm doing my part on making this game and the music more known to other people cuz I like da game. It's nice to see someone enjoy something as much as I do. omg... I had an impact on someone's life! (even if it is very small). Just like how I get to know some music thx to people sharing it out of their passion? I think that's what it is. Ain't no way you play fighting game tooooo!!! AND you know/listen to guilty gear? I'm aware that's what Akyuu's Studio is for but I noticed most if not all the posts there, at least for written works, seem to link elsewhere rather than be posted here directly. Is there a particular reason for this? Something I'm missing/overlooked? There doesn't seem to be any specific rules there that aren't the standard forum ones. As for what I'm looking for, ideally something that is a hybrid of an art and writing site. Something like a "light novel" if you will. I actually feel the forum format works for this (post a pic or so if relevant, then the written 'chapter' in the same post) but there may be something I'm missing as to why I haven't seen an actual story in that format (or just not looked deep enough yet? lol) Btw, I am not trying to sidestep forum rules. On the contrary, I want to make sure I adhere to them before posting. To clarify, I have no interest in depicting NSFW, which seems to be the main big 'no-no' here, which I am in agreement with btw. Basically, I would like to have some romance/flirting or the option to do so but have no intention to make it graphic nor the main focus and was wondering what was that threshold between "Moriya-friendly" and not. All my questions may seem obvious to others here, but I believe there is no such thing as a foolish question. I figured this was the best place to post/ask this and there may be others aside myself who are also wondering about the details of what's truly allowed and where the line is in order to make sure not to cross it and be respectful and considerate to the forum and community as a whole.
