just had a dream where greg heffley suddenly disappeared from the universe and basically only some people remembered him. i tried so hard to convince my classmates that he was real ;-; apparently it had something to do with narrators (the blue bird app dudes went insane because of them) also at the mall there was a giant touhou-themed attraction which told the story of reimu hakurei. the second part said that once reimu and marisa ventured into limbo when they started hearing the voices of the deceased and forgotten (mima lmao). so they got outta there and swore that they'll never cross limbo again. (all of this was in a single futuristic sign and the rest was a heavily decorated ride with orbs, witch hats and such.)2 points

writing stuff is cool, it’s the reason why i’m somehow making the written works in akyuus studio alive somehow so here’s my current works: ~ Imperishable Festival (current ongoing work, now shifted from a drama series to a drama-ish and mystery series) ~ TMaTR (The Miko and The Raven) (A sh_tty series of insanity, is a series that has a high chance to become a bullet hell game anyway) ~ Mugenkan (the oldest fanfic of mine, discontinued after its 2nd “season” bc motivation loss)2 points

Touhou LostWord is dead [Well, the game is still going, but I stopped played about a couple weeks ago] I have stopped playing the game about a couple weeks ago. The process of parting ways started three weeks ago, with the receival of a new phone, on which I have decided not to install LostWord. I did continue not playing a little bit on emulator, but then I stopped for good. And one of the reasons for doing so, outside sheer boredom and repetitive nature of the game, was due to the fact I have been playing it in parallel with another game - Azur Lane. In the following bit, I will answer a number of questions/criteria based on my experience playing that game until now: 1) "15 minutes maximum on dailies. If you take more than this, I will drop you so fast" Daily missions are very fast. Once you 3-star clean a stage, you can auto-play skip it next time, getting the rewards directly. 2) "at least decent writing. Bad writing puts me off a lot" I am not very familiar with the game writing, as I have skipped every cutscene until now. Therefore, I have no idea how good it is. However, I know a few things: the main campaign is just a retelling of the Pacific War from American perspective, except with ship-girs instead of the actual warships Operation Siren is the second campaign, which I guess is supposed to be the war against the alien invasion events - I have skipped the lore for pretty much all of them, but apparently some tend to be more serious, while others are silly miscellaneous (Secretary quests, campaign missions, etc) - still, I do not know how well they are written, although some of the Quests end up with the involved character getting some personality development character personalities - kind of bland, usually characters represent a type of personality, to which the writers are trying to add some references to the history of that warship to make it more appealing to the history nerds playing (such as myself...) 3) "challenge content must be optional or not intensely grindy. I’m no pro" There is not too much challenge content in the game, as far as I am aware. Meta Showdown exists, but it is completely optional, and it still offers you the same amount of points whether you won or lost. Events may have special stages once you finish the main story, but those are optional as well (the only thing you may play them for is to get some shiny decoration) 4) "gacha system with good rates. I shouldn’t feel like a max rare character is unobtainable without whaling" I would call the gacha here generous enough. To be fair, given the huge number of characters and the fact I am unfamiliar with most of them or how good they are on some supposed Tier List, I am just happy to get whatever. Especially during event banners, it is actually very easy to get different kinds of interesting units (after all, in full honesty, I am playing Azur Lane more as a waifu collection game rather than something very serious; whatever comes, very well). Plus, it is interesting that you can get units from outside the gacha as well - such as from cleaning levels/"dungeons". They may not be good units, but even weak units have their use as enhancement fodder or method to get exchange currency. 5) "no overtly sexualized designs that I constantly have to see. A couple is okay, but I don’t wanna shoulder check every time I open it" Yeah, this is where Azur Lane utterly fails. Personally, I am ok with a number of designs in this game, but I can perfectly see why some people are completely put off. I do have my own limit, don't get me wrong. And definitely prefer when characters are not having exaggerated proportions, barely wear any clothes, or are nothing but fapping-bait. Probably one of the weaker aspects of the game if that's not your cup of tea. Combined with shallow personalities/personalities made to be more fanservice rather than acting like a realistic person... yeah Quick-fire round of notes: I see that the animal theme seems to be mostly, if not exclusively applied on the design of Japanese warships as for other "assets", that is rather universal; increased assets usually go to the bigger displacement warships (the bigger/heavier the warship class, the larger the proportions), despite there being some exceptions both ways big booba/hips/thighs usually go to sometimes heavy cruisers, battlecruisers, battleships and aircraft carriers (of course, with exceptions - looking at you, Nagato...) smaller/loli proportions are usually allocated to small warships - submarines, torpedo boats, destroyers and light cruisers (of course, with exceptions here as well - looking at you, whole Dido-class light cruisers and others...) some ships do stay in medium proportions/lack of exaggerations, but those tend to be more rare I still like Ise though. Ise is fine as she is, at medium premium (image from the anime adaptations) 6) "good gameplay. I like team building and strategy mainly" I am not very familiar with what means "good gameplay" in such games, but from experience until now, I really did not have any issue right now with team building. I can still win any stage until now with whatever combination of units, and I like that the game actually encourages you to build a full 6 characters party (compared to LW, where you an still nuke with just 1 unit in the pasty). As for harder content, the game usually gives you a "Recommended" function, in which it auto-assigns the strongest units you have. Which is pretty useful, to be honest.2 points

If I may but in and give a Gacha game recommendation, CountVonNumeror, Then allow me to recommend Limbus Company by Project Moon. I'll use your structure to give my own arguments as to why I believe it to be a good fit for you. 1) Dailies What counts as dailies could be completed in 15 minutes of actually seriously playing the game tops. If you don't even have that much time you can still do two of the five dailies in less than a minute. Autoskip is also available and gives you more resources for using it at the cost of using more of your energy. 2) Writing All of the playable characters are literary references, and it shows. That includes you, the executive manager named Dante. Speaking of them, you get zero input into their actions; thus you are playing as the protagonist, and not something more akin to a player avatar. Assuming that is not enough, one of the first stages is spent explaining how your bus runs on humans like it is a Youkai. Intervallo's (Events) are replayable (just without the event rewards) and even mandatory as they technically serve as extra story between the Canto's (chapters) and as of now have ranged from violent chicken to a beach episode to being abducted to make Christmas presents out of your flesh. While the hardest events (Namely, Refraction Railways and technically Hard Mirror Dungeons) are a separate screen. In-story your people go through them, but they are not mandatory. Characters undergo development, though they are very slow in doing so. Still, you'll definitely notice it by the time you reach Intervallo 2, named the Magic Hellbus S.E.A. (They even had time to provide fanservice for the fans of their previous game.) 3) Challenging Content Any time you read "Proelium Fatale: lasciate ogni speranza, voi ch'entrate" prepare to get absolutely annihilated; Or at least a very difficult fight. Except for maybe the first two time. They're also unskippable as they're related to the story, so I hope you've learned the mechanics and have Identities that counter it (Well, the base Identities can hold their own as well, but it is going to require some planning and grinding.) But the absolute worst is kept in the Refraction Railways, which is not mandatory and the rewards are given for just beating the railway, not how fast you can do it. 4) Gacha Rates If my spending habits could veer farther away from the bloodthirsty sadist that would be great, but the Gacha (and the currency used for it) is very liberal. with a conversion rate of 130 Gacha currency (called Lunacy in the game) for one pull, it is more generous than the typical Hoyo game. And if you pull enough you can literally buy the identity you want at the dispensary with enough bad luck later. (They don't appear there immediately for reasons you can probably guess.) Also, once you have the identity, you have the ability to make it the best it can possibly be. (Your bad luck can be used for this too!) As for the chances of getting a character you want, my last ten pull had two of the lesser 00 and one guaranteed 000. 5) Sexualization You have to actively search for it, even though it has more content warnings than side effects on your average painkiller (that was a sentence someone actually said once.) Though you are going to find a couple. (even though lust is a sin type, those that use it typically have bloodlust, and not the kind of lust most associated with the word.) 6) Gameplay And while I'm at it, how friendly it is to people who come back after being away a long time. Team building is sort of the main reason to even pull for identities (though my own lamentation earlier says that you can get pretty far being a Waifu hunter.) and strategy on a turn-based scale (though the word turn-based is half-correct, as speed die are a thing.) are at your disposal, though you get the explanation in a fight you're expected to lose (the very first one), so they're not exactly the best at explaining things. You're going to be doing a lot of reading, that is for sure. You do not get a welcome back package of any kind, just what everyone else gets, and people get enough for one ten pull doing absolutely nothing except claim maintenance with five of those, and the seasons for the battle pass take a long time, so missing a couple of weeks of dailies and weeklies will not shoot down your chance of getting a max level battle pass. Also, there are mechanics in place to facilitate both team-building (the way the developers intended) and Solo (the way some hardcore players wanted) teams. So you can take your pick. 7) Peculiarities There are only 12 people in the playable roster. And that is never going to change, as far as we know. Well, except for allied combatants, maybe, but twelve people, discounting Dante because they do not actually fight, in a Gacha game is very small. Instead, you get alternate versions of those twelve to build your team from, with each sinner only being able to take on one identity at a time. In this sense, it seems like Lost Word, but that is it. This isn't about Touhou anymore, now is it?1 point

Sawawa / Maria - Akutagawa Ryuunosuke's Kappa ~ High Speed Cucumber Given the character, I wanted something techno or otherwise electronic. The original being 3/4 timing may incentivize artists toward more classical-sounding styles (or maybe I was fighting the algorithms), but I eventually found this one, which was exactly what I wanted. nori - Autumnal Waterfall I've searched enough for this piece around Thanksgiving that I didn't expect to find much this time around, but this one pleasantly surprised me. It feels a bit short, but the instrumentation is excellently arranged for the melody; folk really suits this track, doesn't it? Mikkie - Youkai Mountain ~ Mysterious Mountain Expectations were to contrast the previous pieces, and I had to search quite a while to find something satisfactory. I don't personally listen to the original much, but I didn't think it was that unpopular; yet I struggled to find many remixes that weren't from the big circles, and I was determined to use something more obscure. I'm glad I stuck it out.1 point

And the winner is...Flandre is gooboo. Sorry, executive decision. The runner-up though, Flan is a loving but playful little sister. Humanity has hope after all. Next Bad Touhou Opinion! "Hey, mister..." = "Do you want to have sex?" = "Yo man. Fuck?" = "Do you want to have Fumo?" = "Do you want to eating hamburgah and potato everyday?" = "Did you know the average human body has 1.2 to 1.5 gallons of blood? Wow, that's a lot. You probably don't need all of it, right?" = "There is no meme. Give me your wallet."1 point

Ah the Switch, as cool as this is I feel I'd stuggle to control the game with the joycons opposed to arrow keys. How long would you say it took you to set up? From what I've done with modding on the switch, the custom firmware can sometimes be annoying due to the need for soldering the mod chip. Its been awhile though since I've last done it though or looked to mod another switch. Is there finally just a software work-around?1 point
