Try exposing them to the music first, if they like it they might get interested in the games as well. Send them songs or do it sneakily by making touhou songs your ringtone for a while. You can also try telling them about the world of Gensoukyou and the lore behind it. Lastly, recommend fangames similar to games they already play, this could help ease the transition.
