  1. Yeah dude, like I just did that 10-30 minutes ago and you don't know how happy I was. I really wanted to scream but it was kinda late at night so I just celebrated with a fist in the air or something like that. I know this achievement isn't crazy like the others, but I'm just so happy I beat the game that I have to post about it. When I saw the ending with Reimu,Remillia,Yuyuko,... talking to each other, I just smiled at the conversation. I'm just so glad about beating the game man. I calculated and practiced to beat the game! I was on my last bomb at the end! And when the time counted to 0 at the last stage? It was euphoria. I also want to say that I like the cherry border system because it really brings out the courage in you, what I mean by that is that when it's activated you kinda like force yourself to make risky moves and find a way to dogde to bullets. It makes the game pretty fun to play! I guess it's gonna be harder from here on out with the other games haha. But maybe that's what makes it fun or what the other games have to offer that is going to be fun, idk but anyways! Sorry if I wrote a bit too long, I'm just enjoying myself right now. Have a nice day everyone!

  2. Deadly diseasing doll dat does do something Day 48: Medicine Melancholy Medicine is quite uninteresting. I think her concept is pretty one note most of the time and people really haven’t done too much with her. Essentially, she’s incredibly protect of dolls and poisons those who mistreat them or really enter the nameless hill. She doesn’t show up much, and she only shows with either Yuuka or the fairies, which don’t do too much for her character wise. Her theme is definitely her standout thing, being very fitting and super good. Overall, a pretty boring character who could use some more traits in general.

  3. I haven't played touhou 19 but one thing I have to say is that (MINOR SPOILER ALERT) I absolutely adore Hisami's character design.

  4. "Yes, she’s deadly <3" Well, that title narrow it down to about 50% of the cast. I though it was Yamane at first. Better luck next time.

  5. Does anybody here know how to set up a private room for online play? I don't see any option to select a specific room to join EDIT: I figured it out, first both players need to set the same room name (let's say "SonBitenDrip69"), then you click on "join room" and done!

  6. I feel like this game demanded more effort to be done than recent previous titles, besides that, there's the server expenses, thus explaining the higher price. Unfortunately, the game is haunted by bad design choices and ZUN overall don't knowing what he's doing. He was so focused and providing a diverse gameplay and creating a competitive game that he forgot to put effort in making the game actually work. Story mode is dumb, as others have stated here, the split-screen is pointless if it's not an actual 1v1 battle, you just defeat the bosses IN YOUR SCREEN and you're good to go. Vs Mode is fine, is by far the one I'm playing the most, the CPU is pretty fun to play against, but it lacks very basic features like the option to choose the scenario and an Arcade Mode since story mode is a fake 1v1. I could say that the netplay makes the buy worth it if it at least worked, I couldn't play a single online match by now, most of the time it just fails, and when it doesn't fail, the FPS is always between 10 - 15, maybe there's not many people in my region that play the game, but damn, I don't think ZUN should ever touch a netcode again, at least not until he actually put the time to learn how to do it, he clearly didn't have a single clue of what he was doing. The worst part of it all is that there's no option for self-hosting, I'm hoping that ZUN or even the community will add this in a patch eventually, if there's never self-hosting I'm sure online will be unplayable very soon, since I don't think ZUN will keep paying the servers for more than a few years. Having said it all, yes, the game is bad, it's unfinished and broken, probably the worst mainline until now, BUT I will say that, besides all that, I'm still having fun, enough to already have put a few dozens of hours in it. But now, taking gameplay aside, I liked almost everything else in the game, the new characters, music, and I could be wrong, but I feel like ZUN is finally trying to create an ongoing plot for the series, instead of various separate stories for each game, not only the game makes references to past incidents, but also a lot of the endings are kinda of cliffhangers. If ZUN is really trying to write a bigger plot that will last for games to come, I'm totally for it.

  7. I don't usually listen to SilvaGunner mashups, but this popped up on my recommended, and I was intrigued enough to check it out. I was pleasantly surprised to find a quality collab project with a well-executed gimmick; ultimately unique enough to have its own feature. The video speaks for itself, so I'll leave it at that.

  8. There are three soundtracks I will reference as being my all-time favorite, the first being Touhou, which I consider to be a classification of its own due to its unique and expansive style. The other two are more properly contending for #1, both being exemplary productions of melody, style and creativity, while contrasting each other in tone; these are A Hat in Time and Octopath Traveler. This year, the latter series received its third entry, being the second proper installment; my anticipation for this release was immense, and it did not disappoint. The expectations of a sequel are for the qualities of the original to be expanded and improved upon, whatever those qualities may be. This does not always mean "better" or "more," but often must be one of those things to some degree to be considered successful; the alternatives are usually "different," in the better case, or "worse" in the lesser case. Octopath Traveler was a masterpiece of clear motifs with strong structure, full of memorable pieces that, sufficiently composed to stand on their own, collectively created an unforgettable experience. If it was to live up to its predecessor, Octopath Traveler II needed to either refine these qualities and add depth to them, or introduce a new element of some sort, ideally compatible with the original's style. Nishiki did both. The gimmick of Octopath Traveler II is its day-night cycle; while there is a gameplay component to this, our focus is more concerned with the musical aspect to this addition. Major areas and towns have unique music for their night cycles, with the melodies of their standard themes often being completely rearranged. To highlight this contrast, Nishiki employed a vocal element that is unique to these night themes. Aside from this, the soundtrack's motifs are more dynamically integrated into the arrangements compared to the previous entry, especially the character themes; I'll expound upon this a bit more later. There is also some limited reuse of old motifs, occasionally in full rearrangement (such as Unshakeable Resolve), but more often as brief reference to an indirect correlation (as with some of the battle themes). In my opinion, these are done very well, and help to link the productions together. All this barely scratches the surface of what this soundtrack contains. Needless to say, I am thoroughly pleased, and I look forward to returning to this series in the future.
