  1. Thank you @yukayay for continuing to post the new songs. I am afraid I might be going through a burnout phase with this group, as I have not shared, nor even listened to any of their new songs past the Sekibanki one. I do not know what happens to be, but I do not feel very inclined to listen to anything new. I think this might be... already the fourth recent music video in a row I have not listened to? To be fair though, it seems that Akatsuki Records has posted much more content since Christmas, or even just this first half of 2023 than ever before on their official channel.

  2. Kurumi is my favourite PC-98 character! I just think she's pretty cute and I like her vampire design a lot. Kurumi day on the touhou calendar is also on my birthday ; )

  3. Alice: "Thank you" Alice took a seat at the free table then looked at the menu. "And now, let's see………" "I'll have this mixed fruits, please."

  5. Since my profile is a Yume Nikki reference, I think it is only fair my first songs are Yume Nikki remixes. Enjoy the chill tunes for +5 Yummy Nickels.

  6. This is just... It makes me wanna cry. Even without context, it still sounds like it should. A victory. A moment of triumph, a bittersweet one at that. I am well aware this game has been covered before, but the person who started the thread hasn't stated whether putting the same game is allowed or not.

  7. Most of the VGM I listen to is melody focused, because that's a big part of what I like about game music. But there is something to be said for the other side of the genre. I think of some soundtracks in a category I call "cinematic VGM." Series like Assassin's Creed and Uncharted have large movie-like scores which work with their games in the same ways a film's soundtrack works (i.e., reinforcing the visuals). The music is still very much VGM, but it holds a flavor of ambience over melody even when melody is present. Case in point:

  8. Real quick want to draw attention to @Teophyr's post on another thread. I'd never heard of this game, and its soundtrack is amazing.
