A really terrible ghost, so bad she’s gotta move out. Day 16: Kana Anaberal Kana was so bad at being a ghost that she’s needing to move because the guy she’s haunting wasn’t scared of her. That’s basically all kana has. I will say that touhou 3 has the most fleshed out characters in all of PC98, even more than characters like shinki in some cases. I’ll talk about that specific example quite a while later, because I really love her concept and execution of her character. PC98 in general has a lot of interesting concepts that just never came to be, and it honestly saddens me with some of them. Overall though, kana is a neat little bit part character that I think wouldn’t be too bad to return.

reganeet ytsgna Day 17: Seija Kijin Seija is a character that I feel is supposed to be hated. She has barely any redeeming qualities, cheats, and Stockholm syndromed shimmy to make herself stronger. She generally doesn’t have a great personality, and I hate the speech tick of saying a ton of opposites, as it just makes her more annoying than anything. She accomplished being a more villainous character, but I feel the fans lost that part of her and tried to make her into something she isn’t. I also don’t really like her design as well, but her theme is excellent. Overall, villain character that got fandom treatment in a bad way, coupled with her not being my favorite type of character.

The forgotten fourth oni Day 15: Konngara Konngara is another PC98 without anything. She doesn’t really do much, and only shows up in one game. I don’t care for her design either. I’m gonna take this post to talk a little about other things that tangentally relate to Konngara, but is a common problem. Basically, whenever a character doesn’t have much, the fans do one of two things. They either leave the character where they are, or try to make something out of them. It’s happened with characters like the getsu sisters, where some huge fans of them make a ton of art of them to show that they are cool designs, and mostly people will give them a fangame. So sometimes, characters can end up being fandom creations, like Koakuma, daiyousei, and the getsu sisters. Anyways, sorry for the kinda boring posts, it’s just that the PC98 characters aren’t very interesting to me and I don’t have much on them. The bingo stuff will start to pick up a bit pretty soon.
