I mean, the "gacha" aspect was never really a requirement for the game. It was just the rhythm game section that was the main focus.
I honestly wish I had a chance to play more of Kagura. I grabbed the game but my tablet can't run it smoothly (which is, you know, important for rhythm games).
I'm glad that it's going to release on Steam, but I think it's going to depend on the crowdfunding (they are aiming for 15M Yen. https://camp-fire.jp/projects/623672/preview?token=1lrvoehb).
The crowdfunding nor steam page never mentions any form of gacha, so there is a chance this game might not be free, or it will be but a chunk of songs will be locked behind a paywall.
Either way, thank god the project is not dead.
