thinking about making a weekly event in moriya shrine involving that hunger games simulator

as always the ghost returns with something nobody cares about but I've been thinking over this for some time now and even discussed it with @koakumas (she caused this actually) and I figured I could try it out.

How it works (or will work, depends):

I will take the names of everyone replying to this post saying "I wanna enter" and make a wheel spin to decide who enters or not. there is 24 slots available I believe, and those who fail to enter will sadly have to wait until the next game to have another chance (unless koa wants to make 2 happen at the same time)
I will have predictions happen every time a day ends, excluding the first. these can either be set by me or just sent by someone in the topic over what they think is gonna happen (x dies, y kills z, etc). whoever gets the prediction right will get awesome rewards such as: absolutely nothing and bragging to people that you're like a visionary
(subject to change, I might have koa draw you a custom cuz I'm evil. within reason of course)

How will the game itself work:

my idea was to get everyone (or mostly everyone) into my discord server so we can proceed with the day there. I'll still send the results of the day here in this topic for those who couldn't make it or just can't be bothered to join a vc. (I wanted to do this in the actual moriya server but I figured I'd be annoying people so)
totally not an excuse to get people on my server so it's not dead anymore haha no why would that be the case


this event will, as the title suggests, happen weekly. I'll have a vote up whether you guys wanna have 1 or 2 days every session cause I feel like a day only might take too long. I will also do this either on saturday or sunday, whichever day I'm available. as for the time, I'll just default to 6 PM -3 UTC because I can't be asked to find a decent time for everyone

sadly as far as I know you can only change the roster that will participate, any events and places are from the actual hunger games movies, sorry about that! I would do that if I could

minimum entries not reached again, will extend the period up to 2 weeks from now.
if either the minimum amount of slots required is filled at the end of the deadline or before that, the event may proceed. if not, this project will be canceled until further notice.

Is there no way to start the event with less people? I don't want to be so doubtful, but this is probably the max amount of people joining. And that number may only decrease on the day of the event. I remember for the "Moriya Meetup" a few months ago, some people had to leave early and some simply forgot.

Hm, do my eyes deceive me, or is my ally in dire need of assistance? Well, fret not because I got you!
 

If it's a name to fill in the required amount of players that you guys need then feel free to use mine. However, I can't promise to be here on the stipulated date though, mostly because I'll be either at work or going to college so I probably won't even have the time to play with you all but if you guys need my opinion or decision for something then I can set a behavior for myself based in what I would do in most situations.

Mota's behavior list:

1. Help ally at all costs
2. If ally dies then avenge ally at all costs
3. If vengeance is successful then suicide
4. If vengeance is unsuccessful then I'm most likely dead anyway
5. Oh, before suicide I should write and publish a biography about my ally

Woohoo! My ally coming in to save the day! Thank you Motor-omg for covering my back If I counted correctly we're almost at the required participation, and hopefully bumping this topic with these last few messages attracts some more people :D 

 

Also I have to say, Mortar-o'-mc... what a priority list you have :O   So much commitment to help me out, it's greatly appreciated. Perhaps it's a bit too one-sided, I'm worrying? It practically feels like you're venturing through the perilous lands of Gensokyo, fighting face-to-face with bloodthirsty youkai, and surviving off nothing but scraps for weeks straight- just to lend me a hand! How very noble of you! ...Meanwhile I'm here sitting comfy in my seat, having read about your outstanding dedication, contemplating whether I should give a quick reply or head to my even-comfier bed and sleep it off, drift into some dream world where I face not even a single worry coming close in magnitude of whatever daily struggles you must be suffering with...

Hehehe, I didn't expect recognition for my acts, still, that's very refreshing to read, especially the part where you think I'm some sort of super reliable guy who would go through hell just to fetch you a lunch or something would certainly try though. Sadly, I have to smash your cool image of me, actually, I'm just some random normal guy you can find anywhere who just tries to have fun in his free time, although, I seem to have lost this "free time" thing somewhere because I barely see it nowadays, lol.

In fact, my ally, it's YOU, with your boundless charisma, who can motivate people to show their best sides.

For example, when my tasks pile one upon another during work, it's you who gives me the courage to not give up, the image of you, my ally, sitting on your comfy seat, fills me with determination, "Damn, this looks really comfy. I really want to be like my ally right now" I think to myself as my energy flourishes anew and my efficiency practically DOUBLES.

Or maybe when I'm at college and my mind is too tired after facing a busy day and the loathsome rush hours (oh, how I despise those). It's the image of you seamlessly sleeping in your even-comfier bed, that makes me instantly focus, "Damn, look how carefree my ally is, unbothered by the daily hardships, such peace of mind is what I must strive to achieve" I think to myself and immediately lock in my studies, such motivation is so powerful that my grades have never been so high before I meet you. My report card can attest to that.

See? This is all YOU, my ally. Never underestimate your charisma again, keep your head high and proud in whatever comfy place you might be currently resting. As for me, I have finally arrived on the promised FRIDAY, and my weak flesh requires rest, it saddens me I don't have enough energy to show you more examples of your awesomeness but that's the limit of my spent creativity.

NOTICE: as (technically) the idiot that cam up with this hunger games, i'll announce that my dumbass counted 12 people to be in, it's actually 12 DISTRICTS and not people with 2 each. 12 x 2 = 24, basic math with the results being 24 people at least

so far as of i counted and the requests on nitori's dms and both of us, that's 14 of us so far in

so what now? we can just promote this sh_t but idk, nitori doesn't feel like doing this now, i have no motivation to draw every single one of y'all's icons. ;-;

we can just keep postponing this until we get 10 more people but that's also not gonna work to my eyes, i'll leave it up to you guys, what now?

I'm not sure how the districts are different from each other, but if we are in a shortage of people could we have two smaller games instead of a single big one?

Another suggestion (boring) would to fulfill the blank spots with NPCs/bots that randomly choose certain actions or something. Or maybe fill it with the "Shadow" of someone, which would do the complete opposite of certain person's actions. If the actions of the Shadow and the original causes conflict in a direct match, maybe kill the Shadow and allow the original one to survive? And if the original dies and the Shadow persists, the person has indirect control over his Shadow (still doing the opposite that he would do).

I really dunno how the game actually goes so keep in mind my suggestions might be worthless (lol), but if they are possible it would be better than trying to find +10 people. Stalling it to oblivion would likely kill the idea, and trying to get many more people might also end up like stalling it. I might be able to get +2 people for this, though, so I'll see what I can do regarding that.

In conclusion, your honor, my client (me) don't know what he's talking about, so please go easy on him.

WHAT! 24 PEOPLE REQUIRED?! uhm.. can we really organize everyone even if we get that many people? Who knows, some of the earlier participants might've already forgotten about this thing cause it's been so long

I hope this doesn't get scrapped or postponed forever
