thumbstick?  d-pad?  arcade stick?

i'm using a PS2 controller and i think my use of the thumstick isn't the best choice, but when i try to play with d-pad it hurts my hand in my old age.  I have focus mapped to the L2 button, fire mapped to circle and bomb to x.

Keyboard. It's the base control for the machine the game is made for (I think, I never played bullet hells in arcades) and its the one I've been used to gaming for my whole life.

Though I did try playing with my homemade arcade stick that I use for fighting games and I gave up by the time I made it to Cirno in EoSD hard. The travel distance is unbearable for quickly going the opposite direction and streaming is a little hard since it feels like the lever resetting to neutral is way slower than that of keyboard keys.

I use keyboard. Even when my left arrow key broke, I used AutoHotKey to map the keys to the numpad instead. Been playing with this setup for the Touhou games, and it feels the same as using the arrow keys at this point.

I use default but thats because the games wont let me change the keybinds. I have gotten used to it though
