Ken Hisuag Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 I mentioned in Musical Discoveries today that I had trouble finding arrangements of Skies Beyond the Clouds, due to the title being an apparently popular one for other media. While this made achieving the goal of the search a bit frustrating, it also resulted in some worthwhile discoveries. Osamuraisan - UNGAISOUTEN Just some straightforward acoustics from a talented guitarist. Spoiler Hayato Asano - Behind the Clouds Despite hailing from a remix album, this piece is apparently original, which places it here. Spoiler 2 TTT
Jaz:3 Posted June 15, 2024 Posted June 15, 2024 If you don't know DÉ DÉ MOUSE, now you do. 1 recent remix from him and a song made for the "Beatmania IIDX 27 HEROIC VERSE" game (probably a rhythm game). Thank you Osu! for being a very fun game and one of the best music store to me. Don't Look Back (feat.4s4ki, RhymeTube, OHTORA & Hanagata) [DÉ DÉ MOUSE Jungle Flow Mix] Spoiler Silly Love - DÉ DÉ MOUSE Spoiler Music Video for the song and gameplay 1 1
Jaz:3 Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 Have you seen this original sonic OST before? The efforts in making this is very good

Spoiler big banger and the cover is awesome too Spoiler competitor for favorite also Spoiler funny how the song is named cause qlarabelle is an alternate alias of yuta imai that's all see ya And in that light, I find deliverance.
Jaz:3 Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 just found a really nice song through memes, well not really, but to me at least. It's like hits you really hard in a really slow way? Basically the way it delivers is very normal, but the aftermath kinda stuck with you. Spoiler
Jaz:3 Posted August 25, 2024 Posted August 25, 2024 (edited) hey do guys feel like a room full of people is also the equivalent of an empty room? It's not like a sad thing tho, well kinda, but not at all. Of course, there is still a difference between them, one is with sounds and the other doesn't, idk tho, that's kinda crazy. There's also something else I want to talk about but I forgot. Anyways, I recently listened to another song by King Crimson and one song from David Bowie. It quickly became one of my favorite songs from each of them. I like these two songs, especially Space Oddity. David Bowie – Space Oddity (lol I just copied straight from Youtube) Spoiler King Crimson - Epitaph (Including "March For No Reason" and "Tomorrow And Tomorrow") Spoiler Also there's some kind of feeling that I don't like that is slowly coming back, it might follow me now and when I go to school. Edited August 25, 2024 by Jaz:3 I forgort lol forgort
Ken Hisuag Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 (edited) Driving to work today, a Nathanael Fisherman song came up in the shuffle, and I was reminded of how unique his style is. There's some reggae influence in some of his songs, but I'm more familiar with the heavy post-production morphing into something I can't settle a definition on. I'll also admit struggling to discern the lyrics at times, due to a combination of his heavy accent and rapid delivery; but there are plenty of songs I understand completely, and for those I don't, I can catch enough to appreciate the theme. He's unequivocal in his messaging (which stands out in modern CCM), but retains an artful presentation all the same. I've known about this artist for over five years now, and it's about time I shared him here. Spoiler Guard My Salvation -- Testimony -- Showing Off -- Edited September 20, 2024 by Ken Hisuag TTT
DoughnutDecrés Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 I just noticed this thread was here lol. I guess I'll post one of my favorite songs as of right now. Spoiler I started listening to Eurobeat after I fixed my car and started driving again, but I really don't know why though... I guess the feel of Eurobeat fits better with my car's speed maybe. This song in particular though, it just feels like a final send off at the end of a long journey, and I love it. Anyhow, I'll post some more songs later if I remember to.
Ken Hisuag Posted October 21, 2024 Posted October 21, 2024 I often come across musicians known for their VGM arrangements, very few of which spend time on original work. A few, however, will take the risk of striking out with the name they've made for themselves for more original work, and the resulting projects often reflect the true levels of skill they've developed. Spoiler insaneintherain - Ubuntu My favorite from this album was the title track, but I appreciated the visuals of this performance. Eiene's proficiency with instrumentation is on full display, and everyone's enjoy themselves as they always have. Violet Delta - The Girl Next Door VD only posted the crossfade, so I made an unlisted video for this (don't tell). The "album" is more of an EP, but for all that it does credit to the musician's years of experience in Touhou arrangements. RichaadEB - Battle with a Non-Euclidean Foe The concept alone is perfect for Richaad, as he bends his composition away from standard progression without losing the path. I want to think I'd recognize the idea behind the track even without knowing the title. TTT
Discordo Posted October 22, 2024 Posted October 22, 2024 Oh great, a forum that I can participate in without issues I love the song "Convictor Yamaxanadu" because of the vibe, and there's a PUNK version that I like a lot as well! Spoiler Also, I wonder what the "Follow topic" option does...
nitorii Posted October 22, 2024 Posted October 22, 2024 oh yeah, this exists. Spoiler it bangs! 1 And in that light, I find deliverance.
nitorii Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 (edited) oh, it's that time of the year again. arcaea song pack dump babyyyyy (unofficial uploads, too lazy to wait / update them later) this time it's the Main Story Act II - Catastrophe's third pack, Lucent Historia! first up is Swan Song by void, the legend that made Testify! Spoiler sick song, very well produced. me like vibe next up is Renegade by sky_delta! Spoiler this song is a slow burner, but I enjoy the ending enough to classify this as good, even though I wish it picked up slightly earlier now for Breach of Faith by Supire feat. eili! Spoiler this is a very odd one. I like experimental songs, that's no news, but this isn't exactly an amazing execution imo. it still gets a pass cause I respect the idea they were going for and the concept is good, can be improved. now is Rays of Remnant by May x Felysrator! Spoiler a very interesting mix of chaotic with melodic that I think works pretty well and keeps a decent balance as to not be annoying or too absent. (chart limited length might have helped with that but I digress.) final chorus feels empty however, but maybe that's what they were going for for the finale, it's the Abstruse Dilemma duo at it again: Lament Rain by Ashrount and D-D-Dice! Spoiler hardcore-caea is all I have to say for this one, as always great vibe and great ending and of course, the preview video because the graphics are awesome: Spoiler see u next time Edited November 21, 2024 by nitorii And in that light, I find deliverance.
Ken Hisuag Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 I've not been feeling well this month, with one illness after another keeping me behind in preparations. I might not get a better opportunity to post this year's Christmas commemoration, so here it is: Back in 1988, a collective of CCM artists of the time came together for a Christmas album. While such collaborations aren't necessarily uncommon, they usually feature various singles recorded individually and compiled together without direct interaction between the artists. For this album, however, a song was recorded in which all the artists took part; this was practically unheard of, and it remains one of the most unique performances of that era IMO. Spoiler Margaret Becker, Steven Curtis Chapman, Steve Camp, Cece Winans, and others - Home for the Holidays TTT
