hi!! im a newbie average skilled artist and i love the aki sisters

after my finals this week i'm interested in making a small little project making the aki sisters into gym leaders so i need some help with some cute poses that match their personality :D (please educate me on the lore aswell) they're definitely grass gym leaders and i've gotten a few ideas already :3

if you're also a hardcore pokemon fan please reccomend a team (preferably competitive but anything autumn/nature themed works) for them! I'm thinking of doing double battle comps but i've never played double battle strategies before so i wouldn't know :') i also have an idea of like switching between trainers mid battle like 3 for minoriko, 3 for shizuha. if the player defeats the first three they go on to battle the other sister! so far for the team i've gotten gourgeist (pumpkin = autumn) and sawsbuck autumn form (which are definitely not competitive but they should stay on the team because so far i think these two are generally the only two pokemon somehow related to the autumn season)

the pokemon team isnt that important the drawing is obviously more important, but i do wanna make like a pokemon rom hack with the two sometime when i learn to do them! thanks

Hello! Welcome to the Moriya Shrine! We're happy to have you. I hope you make many friends while you are here.

There are a lot of effective Grass type Pokémon. Though most trainer teams don't use Pokémon based on their power, but as extensions of their personality. If you don't have a level cap in mind for the two, that's fine. I'll cover a wider range of options. Now, I haven't reached the Aki sisters in my own Touhou journey. So this will be a lot of generalizations off the Wiki. My apologies for my casual Touhou fanisms.

Seedot makes sense, given its based off of acorns, which fall in the early...fall. It evolves into Nuzleaf at Lv. 14, and then into Shiftry when exposed to a leaf stone, though Shiftry gives strong Tengu vibes which might conflict with their natures. But if they appear early on, both Seedot and Nuzleaf are good picks.

Hoppip and its evolutions Skiploom and Jumpluff are also options. Being based off dandelions, they aren't the most thematic, but fall wouldn't be fall without the odd dandelion seed floating by. Not the strongest of options, but good filler options. Cottonee and Whimiscott are also options. Cotton, while not normally thought of as a harvest crop, is incredibly important to humans. Their fairy duality also gives them access to some fun abilities.

The Applin line is also a handy form to look into. While one of Pokémon's goofier lines, apples are very thematic of autumn, and they have a wide range. There's Applin of course if you need a weak filler. Then there's Flapple, Dipplelin, Hydrapple and Appletun, who all are nature-dragon types, which makes it both rare and fairly powerful, and they're all one of the few Pokémon capable of Dynamaxing. It has a wide range of moves, including Dragon, Fire, Steel, Fighting and Rock. A good surprise when the player thinks they've won.

Lotads also fit, along with their evolutions Lombre and Ludicolo. Lilypads usually bloom earlier in the year but can bloom up to fall. It would also give you access to water moves, to throw off lazy players who try to solo with a fire type.

That's it for grass types. Though you can also pad them out with insect types, if you feel they need them. Kricketot and Kricketune for instance, crickets are active up to the mid autumn. Volbeat, Illumise, Shedninja and Ninjask are also options, but pushing it a bit, often returning to hibernation in August.

All in all, while specifically autumn-themed Pokémon are difficult, you do have a few options to consider. I hope this will help!

P.S. Clicked the song link. Was pleasantly surprised and just a little disappointed that it was not a RickRoll.
