Whats the difference between the initial name (th10.exe) and the full name (touhou10.exe) in the patched download?

Just curious I've always ran touhou07, Touhou11, Touhou10 etc without really knowing what the difference is between the long form exe name and the short form one. I have noticed that the dpad on my xbox one controller doesn't work on on the short form exe. Does the long form version have extra patches / vpatch or something?

The short one (th7.exe) is for the Japanese unpatched version, and the long one (Touhou7.exe) is for the patched version.
