medicine’s story (story time headcanon, might getting expanded?)

susan: the doll of medicine, has button eyes instead of normal-ish ones

medicine: the youkai

 

“you really wish to listen to me talk about the doll-gone youkai and her past? sure”

 

once upon a time, susan was created as a doll. she was then sold in the human village store where she was bought by a kid. however, the parents found susan creepy looking. without her knowing, the parents tossed susan out onto the hill filled with lily of the valleys, in hopes for it to rot in the poison and to not “haunt” other children to buy it. the kid went to look for it but never did find susan. after years of it being abandoned, medicine was born from the poison of the flowers. truly, medicine missed the kid dearly but never acknowledged it, so she replicated her personality based off the kid. susan came to life-ish days later but is unable to show emotions like medicine, rather susan can only squeak and float about. susan holds medicine’s true self, medicine is only the outer shell to susan but medicine doesn’t know this. susan continues to age kinda, growing little by little and her hair being down past her waist. medicine is lifeless so she can’t grow her hair or get bigger. today, the kid still cries about loosing susan. maybe one day, they can meet each other but that’s far from reality. but as they say…
