Who are you voting for in Touhou?

This might be a bit late (or a bit too late) to ask since voting began on 16th-17th of september, the voting is going to end soon on 30th of september. I didn't know there was a voting thing going on until I saw a repost on Twitter, I think it was this one... or a different post, I don't remember.

I kinda waited to do it later only to lost sight of the post until Suwawako-touhou tuber-mentioned it again (lucky me). You can read his post too, it generally explains what to do, how does it work, etc...when voting. So yeah, if you didn't know, now you do! And tell me who you're going to vote for.

Just finished voting myself. Thanks for linking Suwawako's video by the way, I'd forgotten he did that. And while I had planned to vote, I had forgotten when the start-end dates were. My own vote went something like this:

 

1) Remilia Scarlet (I relate with Remilia, because I am handsome, charismatic, sophisticated, and keep children in my basement)

2) Flandre Scarlet (Consistently coming in 5th or 6th in a series with 200 characters isn't bad for a literal basement dweller with no social skills. Maybe she'll hit 1st place again.)

3) Mima (Keep the dream alive)

4) Cirno (Canonically, she's a weirdo always picking fights. Fanonically, she is a humble 3rd level boss who through perseverance, made many friends and grew to be one of the most recognizable figures in the series. Its the American dream)

5) Daiyousei (Despite her personality revolving around Cirno, I actually quite like Daiyousei's fan persona, and think it makes a nice contrast to some of the more...flawed girls in the series)

6) Kogasa (Kogasa isn't my favorite character. Far from it. But she is the character I am most protective of. The spooky umbrella lady needs her love)

7) Suwako (Purely as thanks for Suwawako...Yumeko was going to go here anyway...its not like she's going to break 130th place, much less her 50th place record back in 2007...)

 

 

I'm just sad I couldn't vote more, but its probably for the best. Most of the other options I considered were the popular picks. Reimu's one of my favorite heroines for her flawed personality, but...c'mon, she's in like the top three constantly. She doesn't need the help. And while I wish I could vote for Yukari and Sakuya as well...Eh, they'll do fine.

1 rika my favorite pc and general character, also is so different from the rest of the cast.

2 mima, 1st for the meme 2nd she's a honest antagonist no tragic backstory , just a villain

3 Rikiako very interesting idea and foil to yumemi with a great sharp outfit

4 eiki  and harsh but fair and honest judge will call you out on your flaws with the intention to help 

5 byakuren , she's nice nuff said , anyway beside the magnificent Steiner joke, her ideas raise questions like is the status quo right?, how much should we forgive? 

6 singoku , cool idea having a two in one boss also I like to think of them as a team rocket style duo

7 keine I find the the duel nature  also the fact she genuine desire to help and protect help like mokou is refreshing

But sometimes i simply dont care about the poll. Just gonna to predict that Marisa is gonna to win this one.

C'mon boys its just a few clicks. :) Just follow the link in Suwawako's post that Jaz linked to, confirm your email address, type out the names of your seven favs, and you're good to go. Though the site is in Japanese, your browser can convert it to English pretty understandably, and its understands what you type so you don't have to worry about typing a character's name in Japanese.

1. Satori, as I love just about every aspect of her character 

2. Miko, the flashiest and gayest touhou there is imo

3. yuuma, as I’ve loved how she has turned out as a character 

4. Keiki, as she is very fun to try and see how her character is

5. Doremy, as the smug Baku haunts my dreams

6. Aya, as she is perhaps the most gray and contradictory character in the series 

7. Shou, as she needs more fans and coverage, but I think she is just so awesome

Got my voting done a bit ago.

1.) Saki (TH19 did a lot to make me like her more. Her genuine concern and care for Enoko is endearing to me.)

2.) Mike (I like what she's based on, and I just like cats.)

3.) Kyouko (Her power is cool and her friendship/band partnership with Mystia is nice.)

4.) Seija (Probably my favorite antagonist. Also the player character in my favorite Touhou work.)

5.) Parsee (I have weird tastes. She has one of my favorite visual designs.)

6.) Raiko (Her whole plan of leaving Gensokyo, replacing her body with a new one to keep her freedom, and fighting back was cool.)

7.) Kana (This is my PC-98 character vote. Interesting backstory for a poltergeist.)

1. MARISA HAS WON ZE~ she suffered a lot but here we go.
2. Sadly Minoriko is still underrated by her sis... oh well.
3. Rumia got a pretty good place honestly.
4. And talking about Rumia, she is between Suwako (She is still 20th place) and Patchy, how interesting...
5. No... Alice got close to top 10 :( BUT REALLY CLOSE.
6. Welp, Okina is slowy decending
7. That was in general a great poll and i had surprised that some Th19 characters got higher.
