Problems playing Touhou 19 demo online

When playing the demo offline everything is fine, both story mode and human vs CPU, but when playing online, for some reason the game drops to 6 fps even on menus plus most of the time it disconnects even before the match has started. Am I the only person experiencing this?

Oh yeah, it's a widespread problem, I tried playing with a friend who was only a mile away from me and we had sync issues, like on my screen he would have died 3 times and I died no times and vice versa on his screen, all in all the network play release is buggy.

Having problems as well.
Took me 52 tries (I counted) to connect to a match, and it ran at 12-17 FPS all the way though. There weren't any lag spikes or anything, but the game was effectively put into slow-mo.
