I first heard about it from various tumblr posts, then one of my friends played Luna nights and I began to do some research. I got lost word soon after and once I got a PC I started playing the bullet hells, which was a year ago now.

Despite being a big fan of satori and miko, my personality is like kokoro’s. I don’t express much or express unintentionally a lot, but end up being the same kind of comforting silence and eccentric as Kokoro. That and I have a bit of that same vibe as doremy, with not really following anybody and just doing whatever, however.

I love to play DnD as a DM, I do a lot of long distance running(I’m running my first marathon in November, I’ve already ran a half marathon). I’ve also started to get into the card game unmatched, and have made a touhou fan deck for Keiki already. For game specific ones, I play many indie rougelikes like enter the gungeon and monster train, as well as a lot of splatoon, monster hunter, and Pokémon. Other notable games are BoTW, Yo-Kai watch, fire emblem, and risk of rain 2.

Ok this is a funny topic, as you may not expect the answer. So, I seem like a guy who’d watch anime, as I’m a touhou fan and play like 4 different gacha games. However, it’s been around 2 years since I watched anime and I’m not super into it. I like some, but I think it’s the way I consume media that is the issue, as I usually play games and watch youtube simultaneously. However, I’ve really enjoyed slice of life like the disastrous life of saiki K and love is war, along with my favorite series being JoJo.

I only speak english, but I took like one year of French so I know a little bit but can only really read it. The countries I’d want to visit are Iceland, Canada, and the UK, for similar reasons. I love nature, and the landscape of those areas would be so nice to be in. I also would love to run something there, as different landscapes offer some fun runs. Like, getting a little lost in trails in Iceland would be awesome. The UK specifically has a lot of rain, and I love the rain a lot. I’m not a huge traveler in general though.

 

 

On questions for y’all, I say what is the most niche community you are in, as I have theory that there’s at least one touhou fan in every community.

I used to be in habit of just playing games and watching YouTube, so I understand if you didn't have enough time to watch more shows. It's nice to meet another person who enjoys Love is war though! It's one of favourites animes and I love the characters so much! My sister liked watching Saiki K and Jojo too.

Hopefully you'll be able to visit those countries one day! I've always wanted to go to Iceland, since it's one of the best places to see the northern lights. There's plenty of fun activities to do over there like skiing. I also prefer places with nature, instead of being stuck in the city. I just find it peaceful to be surrounded by greenery and it's one of the reasons why I'm planning on moving to the countryside. As someone who lives in the UK, I enjoy the amount of rain we get here as well.

I wanted to get involved with the Danganronpa community a few years ago. There weren't many forums to talk about it back then, but the series grew in popularity and I wouldn't consider it to be niche anymore. There's probably a lot of people in that community who are fans of touhou now!

I used to be a danganronpa fan… then I got through v3 and kinda hated the end. The second game is super good though, with Chiaki being the best character there. However, the community isn’t great and I just have mostly bitter ends to it unfortunately. I definitely feeds into the weeb perception of myself though. Also, if you liked love is war then you would love saiki K, as it has that same kind of not spending too long on one joke and well made characters.

1) What's your favorite part of Touhou? 
As in, the thing you like the most. It can be a character, game, manga, music, etc. 

2) What music do you enjoy? 

3) Any book you like? 

4) What do you dislike and why?

I’m very much into touhou for the lore at most, as I value discussions over it a lot and generally love talking about it. With that said, lore is first but a close second is the fan games because that’s how I got my foothold in the series in the first place.

I don’t read much, but I like fan manga for the series and some fantasy fiction books. So far, my favorite fan manga was At Chirei and my favorite book series was rangers apprentice.

I don’t really dislike much, but I have some sensations and personality traits I dislike. I really hate shirt tags as they itch so bad and I will feel them all day until I tear it out. Let me follow up the question, what is your favorite fan game? Yeah, Touhou lore at first sight didn't look interesting, but oooh boy, it's quite the adventure.

I am in the same situation, lyrics most of the time just kill otherwise interesting songs from me, so i started looking at more instrumental songs (first with progressive rock) and ZUN music grew on me pretty quickly. Did you listen to the ZUN CDs? There are some hidden gems in there.

You are not the only one, shirt tags are the work of the devil. 
The worst thing is when you need to read some information related to the shirt, only to no longer have the shirt tag with the information you need. Truly diabolical.

I have a few, but my favorites are TPDP, lost branch of legend, mystia’s izakaya, and genius of Sappheiros. They each are just spectacular and really fun to play, as well as a couple with really awesome characters in them. TPDP is the one I play the most, and I know a shocking amount on the game. Currently, I’m doing a play through using only puppets under a base stat total of 500.

I do really need to listen to the ZUN CDs, as I have one of the songs on my playlist because it was better than the original (futo’s theme).
