Ask me stuff since I keep seeing other people do it

Hi there! I've got two questions for you if that's alright. How did you discover the touhou series? Also, when did Utsuho become your favourite character?

Hello! If there is one thing I would like to ask, that would be the following: if you had the time, means and determination, what would you like to contribute to the community and world of Touhou fan-works?

Alternatively: is there any topic you find more interesting when it comes to Touhou, be it related to the official works or the community? We are here to help, and have a nice chat no matter what it would be.

I "discovered" Touhou around March 2021 through a friend's recommendation of the Bad Apple shadow art video. 6 months before that, I had opened my mind up to anime, which I had an irrational hate against. My (ex)-friend told me that it was, I kid you not, "the national anthem for weebs" (that friend ended up not being the nicest person, to say the least). Anyway, about a month after I discovered the video, so April 2021, Megapig's Bad Apple history and analysis video appeared in my recommended, and I decided to watch it. That's how I ended up discovering Touhou, and right before UM came out too.

I don't remember exactly when Utsuho became my favorite character. After looking at my introduction post on the MotK forum, I can determine that it was at least before September 2021. I don't know exactly what it is about her, but I just love her so much, both her fanon and canon sides.

I actually have been making a fanwork, a written work about Yukari. I'm in the process of writing Chapter 6, but I haven't really touched it in a while. Writer's block will do that to you. I've actually made a post here on Moriya, I'll link it below:

Otherwise, here is the current publication of my story: 東方偽現実 〜 Cruelty of Verisimilar Existence

In the past, I updated the public document with each Chapter release, but now I plan on releasing multiple chapters at once according to their "act". Chapter 5 was an exception though, I just wanted to give a little gift in conjunction with Christmas and the New Year.

Please continue to ask questions, I'll be happy to answer them!

what game genre is your personal favorite?

And in that light, I find deliverance.

What colour is your Bugatti?

I felt like being a bit funny sorry

Anyways, which Touhou character do you believe is the most intellectual of them all?

I go with Marisa because her facts and logic leave one speechless. Basically, shes Ben Shapiro but with all the negative aspects gone.

She destroys people with facts and logic

(This may be be subject to change once the individual has discovered a more intellectual personality)

Open-world adventure games. My favorite game of all time is Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but some of my other favorites include Fallout 4, Skyrim, Genshin Impact, Pokemon games, and (even though I've only played it for like 10 minutes and mostly watched ApreyFM play it) Reimu's Awesome Holiday.

The Bugatti is a vibrant blue. It stands out in an essentially monochrome parking lot.

I break intelligence into two categories: Street-smarts and book-smarts.

For street-smarts I would agree with Marisa for the same reasons (also I really like her), but I would also consider Yachie a candidate, since she was essentially the mastermind of the WBaWC incident.

For book-smarts, or otherwise more analytical intelligence, I would no doubt go with Ran. It's been confirmed that she is extremely good at math, even being indirectly compared to a computer (I think, but correct me if I'm wrong). I also like how in Cheating Detective Satori she and Chen were responsible for counting all the spirits in the Netherworld, which I thought was amazing.

Although Halo was a pretty nice game i used to play, maybe i should get back on it

Yeah... you mentioning Halo makes me think about how many issues I have with Microsoft/Xbox. The biggest problem I have with them is how they bought out Bethesda, and they get exclusive games from them, games I want to play. And I'm not being prejudiced, I've owned (or rather my family owned) an Xbox 360 and Xbox One. I actually once really enjoyed Xbox One, before they completely changed the home and its user interface. The most that I felt was moderate annoyance, but I soon fazed out of Xbox and instead became solely focused on Sony and Nintendo consoles (something I find kind of cool is that we have owned all of the 7th and 8th generation consoles at some point in time, although not all at once). We later gave the Xbox to a friend of my mom's, and I haven't touched it since, despite having opportunities at their place.

The final straw was when Microsoft bought out Bethesda Softworks, which I was pretty pissed about. The fact that they did this with a AAA gaming company drastically lower my opinion of them. I don't know if I'll ever try Xbox again. The only way I can see myself forgiving them is if they somehow do something unthinkable to redeem themselves.

Granted, this is all my personal opinion. I'll even admit that Xbox is a pretty good console with pretty good games. But the amount of exclusive games on Xbox (in reference to consoles, not PC) that don't really need to be exclusive just annoys me.

What is your dream job? And what is your favorite location in Gensokyo?

My dream job? Well, the college I'm going to is an engineering school, and I plan to pursue my dream to be a mechanical engineer.

It depends on if you mean strictly Gensokyo or a place accessible from Gensokyo. My favorite place would be Former Hell. I would like to discuss architectural designs with Yamame and perhaps other tsuchigumo if they could tolerate a human. I like spiders a lot too, so it's a win-win. Also the Palace of Earth Spirits is there. I honestly wouldn't mind Satori's presence too much, my ADHD brain would probably confuse her anyway. Maybe I could befriend her and spend time with her pets. She probably has dogs, my favorite animal, and she has Orin and Okuu, and those 2 are great.

If it is within Gensokyo, either Kourindou or Keine's place would be my favorite. I would get along very well with them both. I love random obscure things, and I love history. Somewhere, there's info on Keine and a warning not to talk about topics she's really interested in, but I'd probably be into the same things anyway. And with Rinnosuke, I'd like to hear his thoughts on some of the random junk he has and what I have.
