Canaranjo Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 My trusty old laptop. Which I ironically only got recently xD There's a mix of hobby stuff and study stuff there. I like to keep it retro to remind me of the good old days :') 2 1
yankop Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 Yes, mine is completely clean. I have all of my apps on the start menu. 1
nitorii Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 this is animated, of course, but I'm lazy to record it 2 And in that light, I find deliverance.
BlueMoon Posted March 27, 2023 Posted March 27, 2023 Usually I only use those two workspaces out of four. I change my wallpapers every two weeks or so. 5
Flame Sniper Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 (edited) Here's my desktop. It's relatively clean, i change the wallpaper about every 3 days. Ubuntu gets a lot of criticism with how wonderful it's been on my laptop. Read below, Ubuntu is not that good, oh my god, computers hate me sometimes. Edit: Ubuntu decided to stop supporting file systems (you can't format disks anymore with it) so i had to forcibly jump ship to Endeavour OS Edited June 14, 2023 by Pepi Ubuntu sucks 3
Space Banana Posted June 12, 2023 Posted June 12, 2023 (edited) Daily driver is Debian testing. I also use NixOS for daily driving. Edited June 12, 2023 by Space Banana 5
superyanisback Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 Here's my desktop! I have a slideshow of various wallpapers that I put together, so here's a sample of them. I don't remember the last time I used a desktop icon, so I could do without, but I'm just not bothered to. 1
Bubsy Posted July 12, 2023 Posted July 12, 2023 I use Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE) as my daily driver. 2
Yumetou Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 My laptop background. Its not as dank as many of yours. but it gives me the same sensation I get from other games of the early internet. For those not in the know, this is art of a game called Katawa Shoujo. The name translates to 'disabled girls', and follows the store of a literally heart-broken man as he tries to find love. Its an old game, all told, but gives me the same nostalgic feeling other games from the time gives me. What warms me most about them, is they are games made by passionate people. Whether artist or fans. Though even seeing them gives me a sense of sadness, seeing fan art or songs twenty years old. What made me happy yesterday, makes me sad today. Knowing in these memories, are the seeds of future happiness. I try not to have many programs on my laptop. Life is best lived without complications, and I am not software-literate enough for any complicated . My PC on the other hand is filled with programs and games I never have time for. 3
Pentastar Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 on a related note how do you change you desktop background
Flame Sniper Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 I always have pretty bad luck with my choices on Linux, turns out GNOME has some pretty big issues I could write a novel about. Anyway, I'm now on Nobara KDE and I found this absolutely stunning Sumireko wallpaper in a loading screen of Lost Word 4
Banana Man 4577 Posted February 13, 2024 Posted February 13, 2024 (edited) Mine is kinda of really basic and really messy, I need to clean it up someday The one thing I want is one of those mp3 players I see so many people have because of how cool they look. This makes me nostalgic. You still using Windows XP, or is this just a modification to give you the aesthetic of XP? 1 hour ago, DynoHou said: omg such a mess, sorry Damn. nitorii Posted February 13, 2024 Posted February 13, 2024 you see the big brain strat is to gaslight yourself into thinking there is nothing in your desktop at all by hiding desktop icons 1 And in that light, I find deliverance.
nitorii Posted February 14, 2024 Posted February 14, 2024 felt cirno-ey today also don't mind the crack in the monitor there, it's my portal to the demonic dimension And in that light, I find deliverance.

Its a modification to give me the Windows XP taskbar and start menu (Not pictured), i just love how much more readable both of these were compared to the windows 11. 1 I worship Fumo Dolls
Yumetou Posted February 14, 2024 Posted February 14, 2024 I'll have to look it up sometime. Both Windows 10 and 11 have awful design. I think nothing shows that more than the search bar. In XP, typing something there would not only give you the program you wanted, but its directory. All the folders and subfolders, so you could find it again on your own. Now? It gives me the option to do a Google search for what I was looking for. Wonderful. 1
ReisenFanatic17 Posted February 14, 2024 Posted February 14, 2024 (edited) here's mine (cropped because... well... (=^_^=) ) Edited February 14, 2024 by ReisenFanatic17 commisions are open! (trust me bro)

I understand you so much, I hate how you need to know the exact name of whatever you are searching or it will send you to google to search it up. Also, the thing I am using is called Retrobar. If I recall, It wasn't that hard to install. I worship Fumo Dolls
