Touhou fanfic thought experiment

So this is my first post here and I thought I do something fun and casual. As someone who reads fanfiction as a hobby I thought I like to see people's creativity and ask

 

What kind of story would you write about any touhou character (s)

I really like the fact of knowing a little more of the game's plots. So, if I were able to do well-written and drawn fanfictions, I would totally tell my stories and thoughts of previous touhou events. 

My biggest inspiration is WaHH, in this manga there have been some examples of what I'm saying. I remember when in one chapter, it was told how Touhou 13.5 incident really started and how some characters reacted to it--I highly loved that moment of realization. That's what I would like to write about.

For me this has something to do with handling the writing, scenario, story, themes and setting more in a video-game then in fan-fiction, as much as I would like to see my visions come to life I have to admit that I don't how to write to begin with, sure I may believe that some ideas that would be great on paper but when trying to translate these ideas into to an interactive medium it would be very difficult for me to do since I feel like it would it end up becoming poorly executed if not done with careful planning or help from people who are better at writing then I am. Though I suppose the same can said if I decide to make a novel or doujin instead, doesn't help that I'm trying to get antiqued with the characters and world of the gensokyo even while having knowledge of japanese history and mythology in general. But for me I often ask to myself "What can I do with these characters and how do I make it interesting while making it all believable?"

Edit: I also forget to mention that I genuinely don't know what the western Touhou doujin scene is like
