I watched everything, from 1 to [8/9] in 1 day

I wont lie bros, what a ride that was, I really didnt expect to see something like that. For the first few episodes, I was just like yeah whatever this is just some edgy stuff but then later and then later on, the series began to be more and more immersive and much intense for me.

IM GONNA WARN YOU NOW DONT PROCEED BECAUSE THERE ARE SPOILERS

Out of all the scenes though... man... that scene when Marisa saved Reimu and did an epic last stand together as friends. fucking hell. I was not ready for that. Seeing the broken Marisa and Reimu trying to talk to eachother while they were trying to beat i-forgot-who already. My God, that was so painfully beautiful. I still cant get over it. Honestly, I still feel a bit of it in my stomach from watching that moment and I am not sure what to do to get over it besides wait. God damn, that series was amazing, but ill never watch it again.

Personally speaking here: I just can't get into KKHTA, mainly because it's so hard to sit through in one setting for me, I know it's supposed to be edgy but honestly I just can't get behind it which feels odd for me to say since I do like dark stories if there done properly or have some campiness to 'em, granted I have not seen the whole series but since I've seen how the characters have died in brutal ways it pretty much made me realize everything was gonna end so horribly, even if the writing made no sense to me.

Needless to say it wasn't my cup of black tea, I don't hate it per se but that shit was so gut-wrenching to experience I never want to watch it again.

(That face Koishi makes will continue to haunt my mind for many years to come.)

Edit: My grammar is really poor today, huh?

oh it's definitely a lot to take in at once, regardless of whether you think it's good or bad. i just kept going out of morbid curiosity really.

and then i felt sick for the rest of the day so i guess it succeeded on that.

Yeah I still feel sick in the stomach from it every once in a while. Everything about the series was so tragic. Everything was just felt helpless, really hard to watch. The worst part is that I am now getting KKHTA on my youtube reccomendations which makes me want to just not look at youtube at all.

I tried to watch it but I saw a clip of what happened to Ran my favorite character and could not force my self to watch it even though I love edgy shit.

It can be nightmare fuel for your favorite character

Yeheheaah KKHTA is great! I really love it, I watched it in one sitting, too. But I understand why people don't, be it the art style or really grim content. Although I'd say for anyone considering it give it more than just a couple episodes, it starts out as a shtpost, but it gets a lot more story driven later (the art style changes a lot, too). Throughout though, it is dark. I feel like people don't warn enough how really friggin dark it is, more than just your typical edgy lots of blood. And intense! Those later episodes are really something.

I'm always pleased when I come across fellow KKHTA fans.

Hell yeah KKHTA is really something else. I came in with no forewarning or anything. I can say after a week of making the thread I have moved on from that crazy scene where Marisa and Reimu did their last stand but I can say that overall it was an amazing series to watch. Honestly its a shame they never released the final episode. I like to imagine the series ended with Khoishi realizing the error of her ways and then using what power she has left to turn back to time and make amends to the situation. Once Khoishi turns back time, she will see a fishing rod in front of her and just enjoy the fishing.

I know its cheesy and probably not what the author would do but I like to imagine thats what happened to give me good closure.

This thread made me watch KKHTA, and I just finished it. Holy fucking shit, I did not expect that...
At first I wanted to die from how much edgyness it had, but my god it got better the more I watched...
I have never felt this hopeless for a group of people in any media.

I will talk about the full thing, so spoilers ahead.

Okay, so. Like I said, I thought this was gonna be an edgy, stupid fan thing, but I was wrong, so wrong
This whole series was an emotional rollercoaster for me. Seeing (almost) everyone from Gensokyo dying is gut wrenching, and I started crying during the part where Kaiju Marisa and Reimu kill Yorihime.

Seeing Yukari at the end also made me feel a lot of pain. Seeing her cry and probably having survivor's guilt is so hard to watch, especially since Yukari is in my top 5.
The Koakuma plottwist too, holy shit, I hate her guts.
And I'm not even going to talk about Lunarians, I already hate them, this just fueled that fire even more. Fucking Moonbitches.

I'd say that this is sadder than Osana Reimu, this had EVERYONE die. And no one being there to help.

The Sanae flashback scene made me incredibly sad too, to see her getting kicked and teased like that. And the Dai/Cirno situation too. Everything in this was just pure sadness, there were moments of hope I had at some parts, but ultimately nothing could be done.

Also also, forgot to mention, I fucking LOVE the Kaiju designs, they're so cool.

Jesus, I still feel dead from this

I know right its terrible. How did you feel at the reimu and marisa last stand? Honestly the koakuma part was kind of random and dumb tbh though. The scene just seemed out of place but yes, those lunarians suck

Honestly I teared up. It was such a bittersweet scene and in the end I'm glad that they went out together.

I decided to watch osana reimu because you mentioned it. And damn, ir was real sad too. But I do think KKHTA had a better plot.

I like the designs and art style, but after the first few episodes the story became hard as hell to follow. I wish it were more animated but from what i've seen it's pretty wild
