A return to Eientei

Back on the proboards there was a section for Role Playing on the forum under the header Eientei. Is there a plan to implement that eventually, or is the RP going to be limited to the discord channels?

I couldn't say at this time.  Obviously you know that I would be all for them returning, but I don't know if all the RP is going to be on Discord now . . .

Well, it can be. Not sure how much of that is still needed.

What subsection? And where would a good place for it be? 

I could just replicate it from the old forum. That's no problem.

I meant the Eientei subsection itself.  Most of the rest (as in the old subsections with in Eientei) wouldn't be needed.

we might want a character archive still... depending on popularity it would be amazing to figure out the alters system, but I doubt that'd happen given the amount of code it would require on part of staff members.

What's the alter system? Tell me what needs to be done and I'll see what I can do to add it.

Alters were a feature on the Proboards forum that were essentially alternate profiles for a user (note they still clearly labeled whose they were).  We generally used them for roleplaying purposes.

Ahh, i can implement/code something like that. No problem. But they use the same main one right? login and such?

Right. There would be a drop-down at the bottom of a post/response input that let them select from their designated alters. This would change the name, avatar, signature, etc  but all posts, warnings, and meta-data would be added to the main account.

Perfect. I can do that. Will take a bit to implement but it's definitely doable.
